Chapter 366 Divorce from Ophelia

On the other end of the phone was Robert's mother, Blair Ember.

Robert had heard those words so many times that he was weary of them. He couldn't help but feel impatient. "Is there anything else besides this?"

Blair added a few more words. "Don't always act like you don't care. Your grandfather's patience has really run out this time. You've been married to Ophelia for almost three years, and it's still the same."

Robert tugged at his tie and replied, "Let's talk about it when I get home. Can't you let me off the hook even on the phone?"

Blair's tone became more serious. "Your grandfather said that if the woman you insisted on marrying can't make you settle down, can't help and support your career, and can't even make you decide to have a child with her, then you should get divorced as soon as possible. I usually don't interfere with you, but you should know the weight of your grandfather's words."

Robert's brows furrowed with irritation. "Alright, I got it."

"I hope you get what I'm saying." After saying these words, Blair hung up the phone.

Robert leaned back on the leather sofa and sighed deeply. "Why does my grandfather have to push me like this every day? Does he get a kick out of tormenting his grandson?"

Magnus was indifferent. "Your grandfather is thinking about you. After all, someone like you needs to be straightened out."

"Are you even my friend?"

Now that the conversation had reached this point, Magnus no longer held back. "Your grandfather called me to tell you to come back."

Robert was slightly stunned and looked at him, "What do you mean?"

"He wants you to get back on the right track. If you're unwilling, he won't hesitate to use certain methods to compel you."

Robert sneered, "So what I'm doing now isn't considered proper in his eyes? Why is he still so old-fashioned? I've told him I don't want to follow his path."

"If you don't want to follow his path, you need to show some achievements to convince him. Right now, in your grandfather's eyes, you're just not doing anything serious."

Magnus's tone was light but pierced him deeply.

Robert gritted his teeth, got up, and left the office. "I'm leaving."

"Where to?"

Robert's figure was casual as he threw out a sentence. "Going home to get scolded!"

The black Cullinan drove into the antique garden-designed courtyard.

As soon as he got out of the car, the guards on both sides saluted him.

He swaggered into the hall.

Blair was on a break at home.

Seeing him return, she glanced behind him and asked, "Why did you come back alone? Where's Ophelia?"

Robert frowned and said, "Why bring her to get scolded?"

"Your grandfather won't hit her, at most he'll scold you."

He grabbed an apple from the fruit basket on the coffee table and tossed it up and down. "Where's my grandfather?"

"In the study, waiting for you."

Robert was about to go over.

Blair pulled his sleeve and reminded him. "Don't make your grandfather angry."

Robert nodded.

Walking through the elegantly designed corridor, he reached the door of the inner courtyard study.

Robert took a deep breath and knocked on the door before entering.

Samuel was dressed in a custom-made suit, sitting at an expensive solid wood desk reading a book.

Hearing the footsteps, he didn't even look up.

He just snorted coldly, "The unworthy grandson finally decided to come back!"

This "unworthy grandson" didn't mean Robert was unfilial, but that he couldn't carry on the family's aspirations and had no prospects.

Robert raised his hand to scratch his short hair and braced himself to give Samuel a shoulder massage.

Seeing him like this, Samuel became even angrier and threw a pen on the desk hard.

Robert stopped serving and frowned in displeasure. "Grandpa, I come back occasionally, can't you be a bit nicer to your grandson?"

"If you keep this up, I won't come back in the future."

As soon as these words were spoken, Samuel picked up the cane beside him and struck him hard on the back!

Robert cursed in pain, "Damn, you really hit me!"

Samuel glared at him, his anger rising. "Who else should I hit if not you? Always fooling around with those bars and clubs!"

Robert shook his arm, the muscles on his back aching, "How is it fooling around? Those bar businesses make good money too, okay? Why are you so stubborn? If you're available, come to my bar and experience what life is like for young people. That way, you won't be bored after retiring and just focus on scolding your grandson!"

Samuel raised the cane again, ready to strike down!

This time, Robert quickly dodged.

"Get over here!" Samuel pointed at Robert with his cane.

Robert raised an eyebrow. "If you don't hit me, I'll come over."

Samuel gritted his teeth, "I won't hit you, come over."

"Really?"

Samuel lost his patience, his face darkening. "Are you coming or not?"

Robert sighed, "I'll embrace you only because you're my grandfather. If anyone else hit me like this, they'd see!"

The cane struck his back even harder and more forcefully.

Robert gritted his teeth in pain. "Grandpa, you..."

Before the curse words could escape his lips, Samuel interrupted him, "What do you want to say?"

Sweat beaded on Robert's forehead from the pain.

Under the cane, he became much more sensible.

He shook his head. "Nothing, you were right to hit me."

After two strikes, Samuel's anger subsided a lot.

He let go of the cane and threw it aside.

He stared at Robert, exuding authority without anger: "I'll give you two choices. One, get Ophelia pregnant within a month. If you have a child, I won't keep an eye on you anymore. You can take your wife and go wherever you want, but you can't use the Browns' name for your business. Don't drag the Browns into your mess!"

"Two, come back and do what you're supposed to do!"

The atmosphere remained silent for a long time.

Robert sneered lightly, "Is there a third option?"

"Three, you divorce Ophelia immediately, and marry the Phillips family's daughter!"

Robert stood there, closed his eyes, and gritted his teeth against the pain in his back. "What if I don't choose any of them?"

Samuel's eyes were sharp and authoritative, "You have to choose, Robert. You're not three years old anymore, you're thirty! Look at your good friend Magnus, what is he doing?"

Robert gritted his teeth, "He's chasing his wife, Grandpa."

In Samuel's eyes, whatever Magnus did was considered proper.

Samuel was very fond of Magnus.

"I'm not joking with you!"

Robert was serious. "I'm not joking either."

Samuel's face darkened, staring at him intently, his voice stern.

"Magnus joined Agency 719 five years later than you, but now, he's already the head of Agency 719. What are you doing? You're running bars, drinking, and indulging in a hedonistic lifestyle! SY was established six years ago, and it took only three years to establish a foothold in the market! Even if you don't compare yourself to Magnus, compare yourself to your big brother, he..."

Robert's eyes turned cold, his expression extremely serious. "Wesley is already dead, what's the point of bringing him up! If it weren't for you, Grandpa, he wouldn't have died!"
