Chapter 198 Discovering Her Medicine

Robert usually seemed lazy, but when he got serious, he was ruthless.

Even with alcohol in her system, Ophelia felt a bit intimidated by his stare. She got up, stumbling, trying to find Juniper.

Robert grabbed her wrist. "I heard you want to talk about divorce?"

Ophelia was drunk. How could they talk now?

She said, "Let's talk when I'm sober."

Ophelia shook off his hand, but Robert stood up, blocking her path.

His gaze was icy. "Last week, after you interviewed Thomas, the media caught you having dinner with him. Grandpa wants you to go home and explain."

Explain? She had only found out the day before the interview that Thomas was the interviewee. As for the dinner, it was just a farewell meal!

Ophelia chuckled, clearly very drunk as she pointed at his nose, mocking, "If having a meal with the opposite sex requires an explanation, then Mr. Brown, you owe me at least 800 explanations!"

What was there to explain? She didn't plan to continue this marriage of convenience anyway.

Ophelia hadn't done anything wrong. In their two years of marriage, she hadn't cheated, hadn't kept a lover, and apart from refusing to have sex with him, she hadn't wronged him in any way.

"Ophelia Perez!" He stared at her, gritting his teeth. He was losing his temper.

Ophelia chuckled. "The Browns have a big family business and a strong background, I know. If you don't agree to the divorce, then it won't happen. In that case, there's nothing to talk about. We'll just muddle through."

She had given up, and didn't care anymore. Divorce or not, whatever.

She leaned in, curiously looking at him. "But Robert, what exactly do you want?"

Robert sneered, grabbing Ophelia's wrist and dragging her away. "None of your business!"

Ophelia was stunned.

Naomi called out from behind, "Mr. Brown, Ms. Perez, aren't you staying here? I've already prepared the guest room!"

Ophelia struggled to release herself from his grip. "I want to go back. I want to find Juniper!"

That Aria looked like trouble. Now that she was staying at Royal View, who knew what she might do to Juniper.

Robert shoved her into the car. "Juniper has Magnus looking after her. Do you need to worry?"

Ophelia retorted, "Magnus has female confidants; can he be trusted?"

Robert snorted. "You believe that?"

If Magnus ever really fell for another woman, Robert would be the first to pop champagne in celebration.

Ophelia, drunk and muddle-headed, collapsed into the passenger seat and started mumbling nonsense.

Robert hadn't drunk that night and was about to start the car to go home.

He glanced at Ophelia. Her head was rested against the window, looking completely out of it.

An idiot who couldn't handle her liquor but insisted on drinking, that was her.

Robert frowned, feeling a bit impatient, but still leaned over to help Ophelia with her seatbelt.

As he leaned in, Ophelia suddenly wrapped her arms around his neck. He froze.

The woman in his arms was nearly passed out drunk, but her mouth was still moving.

Ophelia mumbled, "Thomas..."

Robert glared at her, but she was unconscious, completely unaware of how angry he was.

For a moment, Robert wanted to strangle Ophelia.

Robert was so proud, with his background, Thomas wasn't even fit to shine his shoes!

What did she see in Thomas? That he dumped her? That he would force a kiss?

Robert called her furiously, "Ophelia Perez."

"Hmm?" Ophelia, dazed, couldn't tell who he was.

Robert gripped her chin tightly, and Ophelia, wincing in pain, finally opened her drunken eyes slightly. Light seeped in.

Robert's face was blurry, almost dreamlike. "Look closely, I'm not that poor loser!" he growled.

Ophelia grinned. Who cared if he was poor or not?

"As long as you're handsome... Handsome guy, are you available for the night?" she said, leaning in. "I have a card!"

She rummaged through her bag, pulling out a mess of items.

Holding Robert's card, she said she wanted to book him for the night?

Robert's temple throbbed, his tone hard. "Ophelia, are you serious?"

"Of course, I'm serious. My husband is very rich. I'll book you for a night, he wouldn't mind paying that small amount of money!"

Robert nearly ground his teeth to dust. "Ophelia Perez!"

His hand gripped her neck tightly, as if he wanted to strangle her.

Ophelia instinctively opened her red lips, struggling to breathe. Was this guy trying to murder her? She twisted, trying to break free.

Above her, Robert lowered his head, forcefully capturing her alcohol-laden red lips with his.

It wasn't just Thomas who could force a kiss! Did Ophelia think he couldn't?

Robert had been indulging her, and she really thought he needed her consent to touch her?

The difference in strength between men and women was vast. If Robert wanted to use force, Ophelia would only end up crying beneath him.

He bit her lip hard, tasting blood, and coldly said, "Call the wrong name again, and I'll have sex with you right here in the car!"

Ophelia grabbed Robert's tie, showing no fear. She was drunk, the alcohol clouding her mind.

Who was this handsome guy? Just a gigolo! And he was acting all arrogant! Did he have a death wish?!

Ophelia's eyes were seductive, her breath hot in his ear, as she muttered, "I warn you, if you want to keep working in this circle, you better behave!"

After saying that, she raised her hand, patted Robert's handsome, devilish face and slapped that black card on his face!

Ophelia was drunk, but not stupid! She didn't want to have sex with him! Who knew if he had any diseases!

Ophelia pushed him away. "Take the card! Drive! Take me home!"

Robert's face darkened. Ophelia thought he was a gigolo!

Royal View.

After Robert and Ophelia left, Naomi was cleaning up the table.

Magnus and Juniper were in a side room on the first floor.

Jenny was upstairs playing games on her tablet.

At this moment, the only outsider left in the villa was Aria.

Aria could hold her liquor well, and despite drinking a lot, she was still clear-headed.

Now that Magnus was keeping Juniper occupied, she glanced at the master bedroom on the second floor and started walking up.

Naomi noticed and asked, "Ms. Robinson, are you going upstairs to rest?"

Aria replied, "Yes."

Naomi said, "Let me show you the way. There are many rooms upstairs, and some guest rooms aren't prepared."

Aria declined. "No need, just tell me which one."

Naomi said, "Second floor, second room on the left."

"Okay." Aria smiled and quickly went upstairs.

She glanced downstairs, and while Naomi was busy cleaning and not looking up, she headed to the right.

Magnus had told her the location of the master bedroom. It was the last room on the right.

She entered the bedroom and immediately saw Juniper's bag on the nightstand.

This kind of small crossbody bag was the kind that one usually hung on the rack by the door after coming home.

However, Juniper had brought it upstairs. This sparked Aria's interest. Were Juniper's usual medications hidden in this bag?

Before rummaging through the bag, Aria clasped her hands together in a prayer.

This was a task Magnus had given her, not her desire to be a voyeur.

If there was any sin, it was on Magnus. Not her!

Aria opened the bag, and a small pill bottle fell out.

Desperate Love: sorry for my dear husband
