Chapter 103

Kaiden
There were gasps in the room, and I got up. “John take Heidi to the packhouse, while I deal with the potty mouth.” I commanded, and he gently escorted my daughter out.
Jesse was silent as a lamb the entire ride, and I was livid. I took a deep breath, and let it go out my nose. “Little girl, what you have done is an actual offence.” I said with a growl.
“Sir I’m sorry I-” She began to speak, but I didn’t want to hear it.
“You’re scared because you got caught. You think there are no real consequences, or that whatever discipline you’ve gotten from your potty mouth wouldn’t get you killed. But it will. Any other Alpha would have already killed or banished you. And I don’t want to hear anything you have to say.” I snarled loudly. I shook my windows, and it was all I had in me not to just behave like the wolf I was. I pulled into the garage, and let her out the car out of habit.
She was quiet as a lamb walking up the stairs in front of me, and I could hear the others were already there, including John.
“Gamma Assistant Xavier, Hanna, I would first off like to say, I commend you two for your hard work, and helping my sister with Crimson. Without you, or my Betas or Deltas, it would be too much to handle alone.” I leaned back in my chair a bit.
“Thank you.” Said Xavier graciously.
“However, that isn’t why you’re here. You are here, because this is the second time I have caught your daughter bullying mine.” I say with a small snarl. They both looked unsurprised.
Babygirl’s eyes were silver. Shimmer is very protective, and I didn’t have to pry to know she wanted to fight this pup.
“I’m sorry Alpha… she has a mouth on her, that’s why we had to transfer her and her brother to Charred side.” He said, showing his neck.
“I am going to change her schedule so that they don’t meet anymore, but that isn’t the solution. The solution is to make her more humble. I will leave that to you, as I am used to punishing prisoners. Derrick, as well as the other assistants need to leave, I need to speak with them in private. We’ll talk in a minute.” I say sternly. “Oh, and the pups as well. Go sit on the couch.” I commanded gently. They left, and as soon as they did, babygirl growled like I never heard before.
“Alpha, Luna I apologize for-” I cut his mate off.
“So, does Ronitus know of her mouth? How long do you think my grandfather’s second will tolerate her attitude? What of John when he assumes his role there as Beta or Gamma, heir to the High Council Second Seat?” I growl.
“…Ron may be a calm Alpha, but he will have no tolerance for my daughter belittling his son’s mate….” Said his mate Hanna.
“We raised them as siblings, neither of them know…. Thank you for your mercy, your highness.” Said Xavier.
“Then for her sake, you should probably tell her when he turns of age, since he’s going back when he turns 18.” I said with agitation. They both nodded in acceptance.
----Eclipse----
Why didn’t she tell me that she was being bullied? I was livid. Shimmer wanted that little girl’s neck, and I did too. Heidi was just as much my pup as Isabelle and Caleb. Kaiden got up, and caged me in my chair with his embrace, which calmed me a little. I trusted that he was trying his best not to be as ruthless as he used to be to a pup, but he had a point. Alpha Ron would probably kill that girl or banish her.
Council Alphas were much more dominant than any other wolf I knew. They were born to lead, and had led for thousands of years, so disrespect was met with hostility. Kaiden held back for honestly… I had no idea why other than the girl’s age... I felt so conflicted. I had never wanted a teenager punished so badly before.
“Luna, we didn’t know, forgive us… we spoiled her and now she has become a terrible teenager. She’ll grow out of it…” Said the girl’s mother with a deep bow. Unlikely, people like that tend to always make trouble.
“I doubt it, but you’re dismissed.” I hissed. I didn’t even want to look at them anymore. They bowed and left without saying anything.
“Babygirl, your anger is kind of hot.” Commented Kaiden, getting a growl from me too. He kissed me on the top of the head, and I felt the tingles travel through my body. He was making it hard to think.
“Kaiden….” I tried to growl at him again, but he was exciting Shimmer. He chuckled, knowing what he was doing to me. “That isn’t fair. Let me be mad at you.” I grumbled defeated.
“Hmm….” He put a finger to his chin, then kissed me again, but this time he spun the chair around, and kissed me on the lips. It was passionate, and took my breath away, and my anger with it. I broke from him, and gave him a small frown. He snickered at seeing how flustered I was, and he held my hand so we could go down the stairs together.
The girl seemed to be crying slightly, while her brother stood in front of her with clenched fists. He had a tear or two in his eyes as well, but he tried to stand like a man. “Alpha, may I train with you today, so I can work this out?” He grumbled with a bowed head.
“I was actually about to ask Beta, but why not?” He said with a slight smile and they both went outside.
I sat in a chair on the left side of the couch. Both the girls were on opposite sides of it, facing away from each other. “I assume you both know I mean to talk to you. I know you won’t be friends, but at least with this talk, there might be peace.” I said gently. Both of them smelled like they were stressed, which makes sense.
“Luna, my brother said that he didn’t have a sister…” She blurted. As an only child, I couldn’t imagine how hurtful that was, but he was angry. Though…. She really wasn’t his sister, and when they leave, I wondered would she behave… This wasn’t the time or place for that conversation, however.
“People often say what they don’t mean. He was angry that you were hurting his friend.” I said with a small frown.
“She thinks that I’m some slutty brat mom….” Said Heidi.
“….Sorry… I’m just protective of John since he never sees what those other she wolves are up to… I thought you just wanted to date him even though he is waiting for his mate. Those bitches at Crimson High didn’t respect that.” She said with a grumble.
“But you can’t judge someone before you even talk to them.” I told her firmly, and she nodded. “You actually missed out on a good friend because of it.” I told her calmly.
“Yes ma’am… and Heidi I know it won’t make up for anything, and I’m not sorry, but I won’t be a bitch to you anymore.” She said honestly. “I thought what I did was right. If it was your brother, you’d probably feel the same.” She said looking out the window. Both John and Kaiden were shirtless… and it was hard to ignore how fit my mate was.
“I don’t really care if you’re sorry, I’m just glad you’re leaving me alone.” Said Heidi with a small frown. She propped her feet on the couch, and her eyes flashed silver a few times. I wish I knew what her wolf said, because she seemed to be upset.
“Yeah, I thought Alpha was going to make me a rug…. I thought that was just a rumor… Lady.” She said with a shiver.
What she didn’t know, was that sometimes Mr. Cobbler’s hide would make faces. Especially if you were alone in the room, or if it was late, you could hear a moan or two. I chose not to tell her that. I could have, but then I would be no better than a bully myself.
The girls sat that way until Nancy brought back my precious little ones… who currently were terrorizing her. She plopped all four in my lap, and immediately made some tea. They jumped all over me until I gave them a small warning growl. No one ever took my growls seriously, only for the fact that they would often get accompanied by Kaiden or Connor.
Connor slowly walked down the stairs, linking his sister. I knew because I heard her scream ‘what’ loud enough to be heard downstairs.
“I handled it.” I yelled loud enough for her to hear. Word spreads fast about this kind of thing, and Connor’s usually carefree demeanor was replaced with anger. He didn’t say anything other than a respectful bow to me, and drank the tea Nancy made for all of us.
“I’m going to go home….” Said Jesse, realizing that the hostility was directed towards her.
To the pack, this was a disrespect to the Alpha, not just Heidi. He had been doing his best to run things with more compassion, and for the most part, the pack thrived. Wolves were loyal to us in a way that was beyond regular respect, because he was active in the lives of everyone around him. He ran the pack with fairness, and many came from terrible situations. That there was someone not only making him mad, but also insulting his pup, was unheard of.
There was a chance that even the kids at school would shun her now, even if they initially agreed with her, because of how their parents feel. /That is her problem. No one would be angry if she had not disrespected./ Growled Shimmer.
/Be nice./ I told her firmly.
/No./ She retorted, and I shut her out. Nancy sat with my daughters and son, while I decided what to do with her. I didn’t want her to get attacked.
“I’ll drive you.” I said, getting Kaiden’s keys. I drove around more than he did, because honestly… I really didn’t like exercise.
