Chapter 114

Kaiden
“No wait Please.” He pleaded, but I ignored.
“I wonder… I wonder how much blood does a vampire bleed… or does it become Dust?” I asked, extending my claws.
He took the bait of my bluff… Vampires are undead… I KNOW he will taste absolutely Disgusting…
“Your highness no!” He put his hands in front of himself as he took steps back until he got to the wall behind him. I flicked him pretty hard on the forehead, hard enough that he held the sore spot a second.
“Then, let’s try this Again.” I said with crossed arms. The cell door slammed closed behind me. “Tell me details that led up to Noah being attacked. Do not leave anything out, and Watch your Fucking Mouth.” I snarled.
“From the beginning?” He asked.
“Yes.” I snarled. My glare had made him cower, so I backed off a bit. Vampires didn’t sweat, so there was no real fear scent off him, but you could definitely see it.
“Well… this happened a few hundred years after the war…. King Aeschylus was publicly humiliated by the Fairy Queen Diana. One of the Royal houses of Witch had asked would she marry the King of Halves, and she mocked him. I could see she’d broken his heart that day. Even though he is half beast, he still has a heart like a mortal.” He said as if it were a bad thing. “He was single about a decade, and my Lord Lucien had found his pet in bed with another man, so they split. He is now the current Prince I assume, as he was second only to Lucien.”
“So let me guess. At first it was just a fling since they both were single?” I asked and he nodded.
“Minotaur and Vampire alike get no mate… I was ordered to keep it secret, however our king can read minds… I think they all can, well any of that age….” He paused. “He said nothing, allowing this to go on for about 5 centuries…. Until one night he asked a favor of the Bull, and he declined. That night he ordered Lord Lucien to cut out his heart and present it to him. I must admit at first, he did decline, but we are compelled to honor the command who turned us… and he turned us all so he did as he was told in the end…. He bedded the bull, but failed in taking his heart. There was a falling out between the two that was never reconciled…. And the Battle Bull held no one close until that mortal. He was publicly humiliated by Diana, and privately so by Lucien…. But Lucien never stopped loving the King.”
“Why didn’t he tell him that he was compelled by the Vampire King?” I asked and he looked shocked.
“No matter how low… one cannot go against one’s king.” He said as if it were common knowledge. “Plus it would have changed nothing. The bull Disrespected my lord by bedding his second, one he adopted as a Son. One who he openly showed affection to… the only man to ever hold an intaglio ring with Lord Victor’s family crest. Mortals now know nothing of that, but you do. All wax seals were stamped with that ring as if the King himself said whatever words Lord Lucien wrote… All Lord Lucien was… was through King Victor. Plus I doubt King Aeschylus would Care if he didn’t already Know this about vampires.”
“He should have said something back then then…Maybe not even have a relationship in the first place if he knew it would make so much outrage.” I said but he shook his head.
“It would change Nothing. He would still be compelled the moment Victor commanded it. So this went on another few centuries of him loving him, but unable to apologize…. And the apology not being accepted only to hear he had a true soulmate. He was Jealous….. and he commanded the attack to me. He was Prince and I was Servant… his command as much as I agreed with it was mandatory. I cannot deny it. At this very moment if he commanded me to cut off my arm, my other hand would do it no matter how hard I would fight the urge if he were still Prince.” He said truthfully. “As I am…. Any of royal blood may command me to do anything and I will do it. This includes You because that was my King’s last command of me….” He said quietly.
I scratched my chin. “And with all this… you took your punishment here without saying so much as a peep to defend yourself?” I asked and he shook his head.
“It would have only angered the King and disrespected not only myself, but brought shame to his house. I cannot be responsible for that.” He said looking at the floor.
I scratched my forehead. Wolves don’t have this instinct. They do. To be commanded and unable to do anything else only goes so far with us…. With Us it depends on what is the command and who’s giving it, but at the end of the day, ‘no’ IS possible. The way he said it sounds as if they don’t have a choice. When they are commanded, so too is their free will to refuse, whether or not they agree. In this case he did… but I had to make a decision.
“Open the cell.” I said leaving him to be there. He would stay there, but I would let him feed twice a month instead of once.
He would still starve, and Rot in that cell because of his attitude, but I felt like since it wasn’t All his fault, it didn’t sit right to be as harsh as initially commanded.
“Feed him Every Second Friday.” I commanded over my shoulder.
“Yes Alpha”, said my guards.
I went straight home after that, but I knew my work was Still not done.
Babygirl was asleep, tired from having to deal with the pups with Eric, since Beta and Gamma had to Slave Away at their computers.
They were in a video call with the King as well… and I could tell that I was to Also join it. I sat down, and I could see their eyes were lit up. Falcon, grandmother’s wolf was out. Her eyes were black, a color that Technically did not exist in wolves, while the king’s eyes were flaming.
“Good, now all of you are here.” He said firmly.
“Are you alright?” Said gram-gram, forcing her wolf down so she could be in charge.
“I’m fine. The pups are safe, though, they won’t be downstairs when the other Princes are from now on.” I said clenching my fist.
“Good” they both said. “We Just started the meeting now that you’re here. What did you learn?”
“I learned that the servant was compelled to do this, but he also agrees with his action.” I growled.
“Then let’s leave him alive for Jerold.” Said Connor icily.
“It’s more to it, little one.” Said the King. He knew, but he would share with them. “A Vampire Cannot overrule a command by their better, no matter what it is… But that he agreed with it means whatever fate you give him, he deserves. I assume they still conspire…. Jerold has a mate and Lucien does not… nor Diana the Fae Queen….” He put his hand to his chin.
“I know Diana.” Said the Queen…. “We still talk… I Know she still loves the Battle Bull… much too much to hurt him like That… He would Never forgive her for targeting his mate.”
“Then for now, I will order as the Center Sitting King, that the former prince never again be near Noah… and that Diana stave herself away from him as well. Noah may not come to the castle without full escort… Though it pains me to restrict the mortal when he did nothing wrong… Oh, and he will have to be kept from the Goblins too…and the fairies…”
“What did Jerold do to the fairy and sorcerer court?” Asked Gamma.
“That is Classified.” Said the King.
Now I was curious, but I continued. Sorcerers were the Omega children of fairies. Those born without wings, but ample magic.
“I’ll send Jerold a synopsis of this meeting.” I said firmly, though I was stopped.
“I think it best I do it. Right now, he will not be in his right mind… there is a Reason he is called the Battle Bull, my children.” He said firmly.
“Well, minotaur are known for their mindlessness… I can only assume that goes triple for a man who almost lost his mate.” Said Gamma.
“Exactly… though if you come up with any ideas to help him, he will see through the fog of war to be aided. I know he trusts you three.” Said the King.
“Then let me go… I think I have an idea.” Said Connor.
“Go in the morning.” Said Gram-gram.
