Chapter 11

Tiffany
…. Midnight…...
…. Midnight on the New Moon…
I panicked as servants helped me dress. I was also the happiest I’d ever been…. Butterflies fluttered in my stomach, while my mind was in a delighted fog… This was it. My brother, mom, dad, Grandpa Ron, Kaiden, and my grandmas were coming to see me walk down the aisle… They’d already used magic to get here. Hellinia and her sisters also came. She was the one who knew the way here, and she kept it secret, even though it really wasn’t…
At least not geographically.
I was in my dress…. It was tight, but not too tight. It had a corset underneath to make my curves pop… and my breasts too. It was form fitting until it got to the hips, then flared out, but wasn’t puffy. The train had to have been about 20 feet long.
Our demons disguised as humans would hold the train.
“Mistress, where you go I go… I follow. I serve.” Said Aptherraam. He bowed before me, in a $5,000 suit….
“I second… I am bound to Aptherraam in blood, and you by word. Were you go, I go. May there never be division between you and my master.” Tinzaa kneeled. Her dress was red to match his tie, but it went to her knees.
“He won’t if he knows what’s good for him.” Grumbled my demon.
“My lady, the veil is ready.” Said a servant. It was Mrs. Cornwall…
“Good.” I said getting off the pedestal in a changing room attached to the basement. The wedding was going to be in the ballroom… but they wanted to make sure Zayde didn’t see me.
I actually hadn’t seen the basement ritual floor yet either… As this room originally was made so ladies could change into cloaks and robes if needed for rituals and such…
The human caterers asked the local Vampire Lord Atto to attend with his servants… and he did. To my understanding, he had a few of his personal humans attend with him. They knew of the world, and how to serve, so they would in the baker’s stead…. But other humans who didn’t wear the servant uniforms sat with him too… about 11 in total. A large family with a lot of kids… I heard about that through servant gossip.
I took the veil out the box… It was dyed red with fresh blood. The sacrifice down here, the human tourist, provided it, but not too much. Only a little bit was needed to draw the runes of betrothment, and the red veil signified my virginity…. That it was taken by my husband….
The sheer veil was pinned in my hair with a black pearl hair clip. I wore fine bracelets and thick gold necklaces…. Each was a gift from one of his brothers, but the ring finger was ringless… It literally tingled. I almost chastised it to be patient.
“I’m ready.” I said quietly, and the servants who dressed me aided in carrying my train to the elevator disk. It barely fit being so much fabric….
But it was worth it. They used it to send me outside the ballroom…. My dad was waiting.
I hugged him. “I’m so very happy for you.” He said kissing me on the head. “If you want to run back home, your room’s still waiting.” He sang.
“Dad stop.” I said wiping a tear.
“I already spoke with Zayde, but now I’ll say it to you too. You’ve met, married, and loved this man before, had children too… I see it when he speaks of you, that you’re still the love of his life… I don’t mind giving you away to someone who I know will cherish you, and if he doesn’t…. I am magic resistant. I’ll kill him if it means I have to manually catch a flight to get here.” He said seriously.
“I love you too dad.” I said as the doors were open for us.
A chorus of monks sang the low chant of the Horned One in Latin, but I could also see that made some of the guests a little uncomfortable… for me though, it was comforting. The demonic hymn was sung to me in my crib by Hellinia, who taught it to mother, who taught it to me….
The First Witch was our priest… He had on all his regalia, a black cloak, his cane, and a suit underneath. His goat horns were out too. All the witches who’d earned such a rare right did, as it signified that they were high rank, but none had the literal aura that could be seen….He stole the light around him… Lord Gulteer looked proud standing there, holding his simple appearing, yet deceptive cane. I think it allowed him to shape shift, but he could do regular beast magic as well…
Pews filled the front half of the ballroom, and with the stained glass, it almost looked like a church… The black carpet ran from the front of the door to the altar, and a cup of blood was at Gulteer’s right, and at his left was Zeh’Kahrraam… his imposing, fully shifted demon.
The grand goat demon had red symbols that pulsed and glowed as he stood there passively snorting steam, with every breath. He was looking at his grandson, my demon. I could only guess that he too was proud that his son would be a Yoltier…
Everyone in Zayde’s family from Black Diamond was here, along with about 3 representatives from the other covens. My mother’s side was filled with Purple Diamond, and a few more… My Uncle Connor, Isabelle, her mate, Uncle Caleb, my cousins Jason and Michelle, as well as their mates were here too… That had to have taken a lot of magic to get that many people here….
I was at the altar before I knew it… and Zayde took my veil off…
“Beautiful.” He whispered.
“You’re handsome yourself.” I whispered back.
“Friends, Family, and Guests, I Gulteer, the Darkened One, the First Witch, leader of Phantom Coven, I will preside over this affair.” He smiled. “The dark touch of the master looms over this place like a fine wine. He blesses those who lurk in his shadow. The Night Father sees all who follow him as his dear children.”
He tapped his staff on the ground, and a small pedestal with wedding bands were on it. Mine was black with 3 black stones as the engagement ring, and a black stoned eternity band to make a set…. His was just a black metal band.
“Rings have been used since the dawn of their creation by witches. Power, protection, bondage to our loved one… our spouse. Unlike mortals, there is no divorce; only death may break this…We live too long to have multiples.” Said Gulteer. “With these rings, they signify your bond to each other. That you will love each other, be there for each other, and ride the winds of time, and be in unity. You may do your vows now… I see you’ve put them on your dress that you not forget them, little daughter.”
There were chuckles, but it was Zayde’s turn to go first.
“With this ring, I vow to love you all the days of this life as I did the last one, and another more if need be… That I am there for you. I am your tree, that I provide shade and fruit, that you never grow tired, nor hungry…. You are more than just my wife; you are my everything. It’s why I marked you too…” He said putting the ring on.
“With this ring, I vow that all the days of this life, that I love you, hold you, and bare you healthy children. That I am there for you, and I am your squirrel, that the nest I make is sturdy, and I take the fruit of our labor and invest it, that times never bee too hard. That my food tastes alright, and is only burned a Little.” There were chuckles. “I don’t remember that past life, but if I feel anything like I do now, I chose you last time, this time, and another still.” I put his ring on him. “That is why I marked you back, my love.”
“With the power vested in me, and the authority of the master, you may kiss your bride.” Said Gulteer.
We kissed.
It was gentle and passionate, but before we got too carried away, we pulled apart.
There were claps, and the dining area was already set up in the back, but the pews were moved with magic to line the sides of the walls to make room for more tables, and even More food… it was done so fast I nearly had whiplash looking at the drastic shift in the ballroom’s appearance.
Zayde led my hand, and I stepped down the stairs, while a band appeared. They were undead ghouls… but I could also tell they had a mind. Those were Rare… likely turned by Atto during the War.
Ghouls with their minds and memories are usually failed vampires. Either he was too injured to turn them right, or at one point, they were priests….
“May I have this first dance?” He asked.
“Certainly.” I said taking his hand. Aptherraam and Tinzaa took the train off my dress for me.
“Introducing, Mr. and Mrs. Yoltier!” Shouted Mr. Cornwall at the front of the door proudly.
I glided across the dance floor, feeling light as a feather…. My family was here, and they all looked happy as some of them got served food. I was spun and dipped down. I giggled while he laughed.
Zayde kissed me… “I love you.” He said happily. “I still can’t believe I get to have you all to myself.” He growled.
“Not yet there tiger.” I giggled. “We still have to be downstairs at 3am.”
His mother already slipped out to get the ritual room activated… I would have to Summon the Horned One, but I wasn’t so nervous about it anymore.
