Book 3: Chapter 103
Lord of Time
“What are their names Xaxas?” Harmony asked.
“No…. You did all the work, please my songbird, that is your right.” He encouraged.
“Then I want you to…. They will rule all the Lesser gods…. I don’t want to pick something non-traditional.” She cradled them lovingly.
Arviel sewed her up already, and made sure she was fine. Without the fake doctor outfit, his speed and precision were much faster.
“Zulliba our youngest is Goddess of Redemption: The nickname of ‘The Lawyer’ , Zohlliba the Goddess of Persecution: Nicknamed: ‘The Prosecutor’, and Zairiel our eldest, the God of Obliteration, Nicknamed: ‘the Executioner’. Those titles are almost as important as their godship, as it gives a bit of clarity to their jobs.”
I made my decision: I shall remain ‘grandfather time’ as long as I can… my true body’s stomach growled. I blocked the sound from alerting the cosmos….
That may be why I cannot see past today… No… I see my tribute coming on time.
“You didn’t go for Zuzu’shevaal?” Asked Arviel with surprise. Xaxas honorned him with Zairiel’s name, and Lulliba with his Zohlliba and Zulliba. Their name means ‘Song of Merciful and Just Judgment’ respectively.
“Fuck no.” Scoffed Xaxas
“That’s stupid!” Shouted Zuviel, finishing up.
“Then I’ll accept the honor. Lia would have come, but she’s waiting the full term with ours.” He left. Lia intends of birthing their son the god’s way. He dotes upon her now, and for it I bless them as well.
“I must also right a wrong for my daughters.” Said Xaxas. “My little ones, I am the Judge, but you are the Jury. Of all the gods in the realm, only you two may overrule me, besides the Queen, or those who share One. Because of this, you may not gain my sword’s skill, but your talent with magic will be on par with your brother’s sword… I give you the ability to warp reality. Don’t abuse it.”
“So, our daughters have their father’s magic, and our son has his swordplay…?” She asked feeling a little anxiety for them… She realized her girls are like Eskaal… strong… but physically defeatable alone….
But Lulliba already had a plan for that.
“I like that. That’s fair.” Said Arviel. “And don’t worry little one. I can see their souls both have ‘ineligible for deletion’ stamped on them, meaning they may even traverse the Pit or Summit’s inner sanctum. That must be through the mate bond.”
And it was.
Zulliba was pared with Zytherian, Xaxas’s herald. Zholliba was mated to Zumitas, Arviel’s mate, and Zytherian shall have Xethia, a dragon in another universe entirely.. That will make him yearn to leave this sector, but it will not be at 18 like the others…
That trial he must endure…
I focused now on Asanguis and Nixxia, rewinding a bit.
“My love, do you need food, water, anything?” He asked. Asanguis, despite her repeatedly telling him that she was fine, worried.
Before the now demigoddess, all who he touched die. He is the Reaper. His only job in this world is to end things. Life he loves, because he likes to see mortals do well. He roots for them, even the ill. Sometimes he may even be ‘late’ to give them a shot if they have a chance, or he comes ‘early’ for those who Will die.
But now… this was life from his mate. Her smallest breath out of place held his every attention… Such is a serpent.
“I’ll ask you to hold my hand when it’s time to push.” she smiled. He still shared her pain with her. He didn’t have to do that; he or Zuviel could have soothed it with magic, but he didn’t want to hurt the unborn.
“I Shall remain at your side until this is over.” He said completely upset for her sake. Each word that held an ‘s’ became longer, making him frustrated. He hates his lisp, but it can’t be helped. It’s just something that happens to his people.
“Nothing will happen if you need to leave.” She said thinking of him, even onw.
“I would *never*. They can become undead for all I care.” He snorted.
“That’s sweet.” Said the Horned One. “Do not worry son, I will attend both my son’s duties for a time.”
I was glad for that too. Asanguis completely remodeled his portion of hell, and had no magic left, nor Xaxas. Neither crown floated between thier horns, simply sitting on top of sapphire hair, and Judgment’s brown. Asanguis did that for their sakes, and the influx of souls he’s gained. Instead of having the souls build his planned city, he made it himself. There’s a medieval Europe styled village for the unclaimed and unwanted, about 80% of the population in Death’s Realm.
“Which do you want born first?” He asked.
“I want my son to be a big brother. I heard Harmony doing the same.” Smiled Nixxia.
The boy cried a healthy wail. Unlike Xaxas’s children, these do need air.
“…Thank you…. I worried I would have to go back to work after this.” He hissed. “My son is my Herald…. Amazing.” It happened the moment he picked him up. I would not allow him to lose his only son.
I could not see him having more, but I cannot see past today… Still!!
“Amazing indeed. He may never die.” Said the Horned One.
“….Be named Noxxen, Demigod of the Grave.” Asanguis stated. “May rest come to those who die… may they not rise again so easily as you rake your scythe across the land in my stead… I know this may not be liked, and I may spoil my brother’s fun, but it bothers me that the innocent suffer for our sakes. For amusement and revenge, he made zombification…. In anger he made vampires…. But those feelings are no longer there… so there should be less of it should they be exceptional, or hold a god to speak for them.”
“I like that.” She said receiving thier son.
He was blue haired like his father, and caramel skinned, inspired from his mother. Those bright red eyes and pointed ears reminded me of an elf, but the fangs didn’t. He, and the girls had their fangs, so Nixxia will have to use baby bottles. Like all serpents, they’re born with their venom.
Xaxas handed him his girls… They are all exceptional… A shame he didn’t make them gods… I’d have stolen his whole litter.
“Nazza, Lady of Good Dreams, and Nezza, the Lady of Nightmares… you too will reap men, and lay them to rest. May their final moments be the fate they earned. I give you my scythe, and my magic. Because you are not whole godkin I may do so.” He smiled. Each one was kissed on the forehead, after she held all three. “My eyes have not seen a more peaceful sight.”
“Take a picture!” she said happily....
He did.
I saw the mates they held. I watched them appear, in confusion, and they were ordered not to return to this world until their mates are of age.
Nazza was paired with the Bone Eating Vulture, the Herold of War. He’s a kind, reserved man, who doesn’t get out much. Because of this, she is protected… I personally protected Noxxen, that he and his serpentkin mate Echidnah birthed will be together without worry of reaping…
But now that left little Nezza vulnerable. If her mate is human, or if they aren’t in the pantheon, her fate could be foul. For her sake I looked, and I under-fukcing-stood why Lulliba kept her mate a secret.
“Lokon… the God of Tricks?!” I shouted.
That Little Shit?!
UGH!
He is not *usually* a problem, since he doesn’t bother me much but his antics annoy me.
\[Observation: My lord, it appears you are angry because you are still upset about the peanut butter being put in your chicken soup.\]
“The Fuck I am!” I complained. He apologized repeatedly for it, but I’m still cross. He knew better than to bother the higher gods, but didn’t know about me until he’d already done it. I can’t count how many times I’ve stubbed his toe, but I haven’t in a few years.
I’ll leave them be and bless their union.
“My lord?” Asked Eskaal, knocking on my door! “Lord of Time, I bring the Last Secret.”
I waved my hand and put all my magic away! SHIT!
