Book 3: Chapter 24

Tiffany
“Nothing.” I lied. I lied like he didn’t see through it…
He pulled me closer to his chest. “Do you think of more than riding my lady?” He asked, with a heavy chuckle.
“It sounds as if you wish to have your wicked way with me.” I said seductively.
“I know you feel that I do.” He had my waist, and rocked his hips once…. I could *definitely* feel it… a small tree pressed against my back through his trousers. My cheeks were red hot now.
His stallion without warning, slowly made a U-turn in the direction to the entrance of the garden, and we both laughed. “Sorry!” Yelled Zayde, “You act like I’m a horny villain!”
The snort from Kamudkal was sassy.
“I think he is too Kamud.” I patted his mane. He trotted faster, making a sharp turn this time, heading deeper into the garden.
“Where are we going?’ I asked.
“I don’t know.” Said Zayde, lying through his teeth.
“I know you’re lying.” I sang.
His gorse was running so fast, and the scenery was still wonderful. The wisteria was soon replaced by roses of every color, though this part of the garden had dark purple-black roses. … Also, they had a different variety of grass here. It went from a lush green carpet, to a purplish red grass with black tips. Where was this? This room was bigger on the inside than the outside, like quite a few other rooms….
He had to hold onto me to make sure I didn’t fall. Kamudkal jumped over a small pond, and I screamed in enjoyment. He felt like a bumpy broom ride.
“Oh come on!” Complained Zayde “Slow down!”
His gorse’s antics made the ride *over*. The look of his gorse was as if it were saying some sassy comment. Something like ‘I’m not a love boat’ or ‘You won’t flirt on me’. I could also bet that this was planned.
Regardless, I planned on teasing Zayde a little more. He got off first so he could aid me in getting down safely. His gorse was much taller than mine, and wider as well. I tripped and almost fell if not for him pulling me to his chest.
“Careful.” He warned kissing me on the forehead. Tingles rippled down my spine…
“Zayde what is all this.” I asked shyly…. Butterflies danced in my stomach. The mate bond made sparks trail with his loving hold on me…
“A small moment for us to relax.” He said kissing me on the forehead. It was soft, and it tingled….
He had a few things out on a cornflower blue and black checkered blanket … There were a few books, some wine, cheese, and coffee in a metal container…... I could only assume he used that color to contrast the dark grass. Those tomes looked handwritten, being in bound leather. One in particular really caught my eye. The leather was dyed yellow, and on the front was a feathered, parrot winged snake.
“Spend this time with me...” I asked shyly. “All that stuff looks pretty interesting.”
He led me to the small, blue blanket.
“I’ll spend as much time as you wish.” He smiled.
I picked up a book… It was Elkteer’s, Yellow Diamond’s original Coven Leader’s personal spellbook…. His secrets were shipped to us, and Zayde must have gotten this arranged…. “Did you ask Lord Gulteer to give this to us?’ I asked…. The books smelled new… They were That well preserved… I was pretty touched…
He’d likely gotten all this while being mended, and instead of look out for his own health, he arranged all this.
“I spoke with him about it briefly after we wed…. At first, I thought it was a bunch of secondhand accounts until I saw the yellow one…. I hope it doesn’t look rushed. I got all this stuff this morning.”
“Even if it did, I doubt I’d notice. Thank you. I’ll cherish Elkteer’s words.” I said sitting in his lap. I flipped the first page and readied myself for a nice morning of study. This was relaxing…
As I thumbed through the theories I couldn’t wrap my head around. I nodded off. He knew an extensive amount of shamanic, spirit magic. He likely learned that from any local witches in the area at the time. I’d found a new concept I knew nothing about. There’s nothing more exciting than that, if my body can keep up. I felt a bit drained, but I pressed on.
----Zayde----
She read until she snored. That was about 5pm, and I let her sleep about an hour more to make sure she wouldn’t wake. I’d done what I set out to do… It was a shame I didn’t get to be with her longer, but with the snap of my fingers, the blanket was neatly folded, and the books were inside. I held it all like a garbage bag, while I held her like the petite woman she was… It only took one hand to have her rest on me. I cushioned her bottom while she held onto my neck in her sleep.
I played off that it didn’t hurt. Many could see the white bandages ooze blood as her arms were around my neck.
Maybe it was a good thing I didn’t turn her on enough to bed her… We’d been going at it a little much for a former virgin. I don’t want to hurt her, but if I could have her I would. I took all this at her pace… That’s what a true gentleman does.
I carried her like this to show everyone I was Fine. I wasn’t, but better they think it a small burn underneath than a nearly gone neck… It was hard to hold my head up, and harder not to wince at the tender bruised wound…. It took quite a bit of holy water…..
“My lord, I suppose you’re about to go out.” Said Mr. Cornwall. His wife about now is likely hosting their weekly meeting.
“I am. I would like no visitors while I’m gone.” I said casually.
“Of course, sir.” He bowed.
“I know you’ll watch this place well Cornwall. You’re probably the strongest bull in the country.” I pressed the buttons to go to our room.
“That’s Just a rumor!” He shouted knowing that I heard.
Yeah, it was, a TRUE one. That man could go toe to toe with any man or beast that could be thrown at him. I made him my servant, because he was honestly a likeable person. I made him my head servant, because he was also the most organized. He didn’t need to take notes, as most of the time he just remembered what needed to be done…
I placed her on the bed. When I return, I’ll test to see if she wants more rides… but for now I had work to do. Tinzaa was taking too long. “Aptherraam, stay and watch your mistress.” I said seeing him hop on the bed. I believe he was in her pocket the entire time.
[I will procure her a worthy male should she wake wanting.] He said sitting on the wood of it.
“You will find them all lacking.” I scoffed with a grin.
[I know. See you later master.] he chuckled. [Had she complained Even Once, me and my precious peacock would have looked for someone better.] He chuckled.
“Oh, shut it cat.” I rolled my eyes. “I’ll be back soon.” I kissed her on the forehead, and put the book she was reading next to her. It was the one left by Elkteer, his spellbook and journal. Dark Shamanism sounded interesting…
Regardless my car was readied by the time I got to it. I drove to the town, which took only 30 minutes. I had to admit I was going a bit fast today. Tinzaa hadn’t checked in… She could be having some trouble.
I kept driving when I got into town too. I didn’t roll down my windows, nor did I ask anyone anything… I just went to Atto’s place. Surprisingly, they didn’t go bothering him. I think it was because they knew better… They KNEW they’d disappear. He’d add them to his meat quotas. They didn’t know that, but they weren’t’ stupid enough to take their riots to the woods.
That was our domain…
I parked, and knocked on his cabin. Five vampire servants stood patiently, while their master feasted.
“Come in.” He said with his mouth full. It wasn’t locked.
The mortal he feasted upon… writhed with a grin. Her eyes were strained closed, and he didn’t stop drinking, so I would just tell him what I wanted.
“I seek the mortal female Sonya Dan.” I said looking at my phone to be sure.
He held up his index finger for me to wait a moment. He was eating. I spoke with him as he drank… The female’s face was in sheer bliss, doing as her master bid. He seemed to take no satisfaction out of it, rewarding his servant as he feasted … Atto finished her, and let her sleep on the couch…. He’d made her release from his bite, something many lords enjoyed doing to their victims.
“Forgive me, but it is too rude to interrupt a female.” He said being handed a rag by a vampire servant.
The servant’s mouth held a bit a drool… he sheepishly wiped it. You’d think the vampires would be horny, that any of them would be from hearing and seeing her in bliss... but for their kind, humans were food… They separated arousal from dining by quite a bit it seemed…. Or at least Atto’s men were trained as such.
“Is she alive at least?” I asked.
“No, but her body’s on ice. It was literally all I could arrange. They killed every member of their family and caught the house ablaze… They were roused like the old times.” He said walking to the back. “Follow me.” He said casually.
