Book 3: Chapter 47
A/N: 🎵 My Tiniest Horsey, My Tiny Horsey, La la la la laaaaaa (lol I couldn’t help myself. This chapter gets pretty serious.)

Every coven leader was already downstairs, and Velimier was so pissed his cheeks were gray. His sons stood behind him in a V formation, as did all the first 4 children of all the leaders of every coven, except Hellinia and her husband…
I didn’t know Hellinia was pregnant…She silently held her belly, likely worried for her child…. Right now I had to be a leader, not a concerned former member of Purple Diamond… The others who accompanied them were her sisters.
Alteer stood silent and tall. Zayde used my demon as a brace, but he looked just as stern.
Haru had Nadya Spellmore by the arm, but he wasn’t rough. She’d surrendered. There was no need to be rough as much as I wished he was… The center of the giant room will have blood tonight.
The Horned One is going to get fat if we keep giving him offerings this large.
Our home was made unsafe by her actions, not to mention how badly my mate and mother and law were injured because of her….I wanted Spellmore’s throat, but we needed information.
Gulteer appeared with a bolt of red lightning, something I think he did for show since every important coven leader, and their subordinates were here…
“You *Will* talk.” Gulteer pointed a clawed finger, taking confrontational steps to her. He summoned his cane with a puff of black smoke, and stood in front of Haru. “How the FUCK did an Emerald Witch get here?!” He hissed.
“It wasn’t that hard.” Nadya smirked. “The tattoo was easy enough to fake, so was taking my familiar.” She summoned the snake that was Immediately Eaten by Gulteer’s female familiar Nanemous… I didn’t know she could do that…
Nadya Screamed… We are linked to our familiars closer than earth witches. Their familiars are often spirits or earth elementals… Demons on Urth have flesh…. She felt his death, but more importantly *how* he died.
That usually doesn’t happen… but earth witches don’t usually attract the attention of the Horned One.
“Not so funny now, is it?” Asked Gulteer. “Explain yourself. Revilous.” He cast a truth spell on her… it forced her to talk.
“I am related to Doggy; it’s my second cousin.” She hissed. “That vile thing brought so much shame to us, we had a party when we thought it’d died.”
Before I knew it, I’d made my way over there and slapped her in the face with all the strength this flesh body had. She would not speak ill of my mother, nor the other wolf hybrids.
“You will not speak of my mother that way.” I hissed.
“Let me eat her.” Growled Aptherraam. “Mistress command me.”
“You may once we are done. She antagonizes you that she has a swift death. You will find no such thing here.” Said Gulteer. He said it before I commanded it… because I can’t wait. I didn’t even want information right now. I wanted her blood on his moose claws. “Get on with it… I cannot move from this spot.” He motioned her, commanding her to continue.
“I bet you’re all wondering why an earth witch holds a grudge against you monsters… It’s your own damn fault.” She hissed. “Because of *you* my coven is filled with mongrels!”
“That was the fate destined for your people.” Said Gulteer. “Your people stole our secrets and opened Pandorya’s box. Lia gave the Moon Goddess permission to give them mates. I won’t even bother remembering that cur’s name who got my little girl killed.”
“Lady Ezabi, House of Grentalia, no… BOTH Houses of Grentalia and Machiavelli were GOOD to us. We prospered. Our coven was one of the highest in the country… Now we are a joke. The only purebloods left are those born *before* her death…. It’s that bitch Yolina’s fault for fucking dogs! It sickin-”
“Fuck you!” I shouted, being stopped from slapping her again by Gulteer.
“Fuck you!” She shouted back. “Let me Go!”
“Move an inch and I’ll bite your legs off.” Warned Haru.
“Hold off.” Commanded Gulteer. He allowed there to be silence, as his eyes had become progressively redder with every word she spoke. “Continue.”
“I found out Doggy was alive… It had mutt babies too. Look at it.” She glared at me. “If I was free, I’d have hexed you until my fingers bled.”
“And none of your *weak* magic would even get past my first barrier.” I scoffed. “You think yourself better because of your blood, yet, if it was so good and pure you wouldn’t be captured.”
“Get on with it girl.” Said Gulteer. “Your hatred is not warranted. Ezabi brought Lia’s hand down because she not only defied her goddess, but tried to change patrons under Lia’s nose. I’m surprised any of you have magic, but I assume she let you all stay immortal to see everything you worked so hard for to fall….. Well, in *your* eyes.”
“You’re blind.” She hissed.
“Actually, I see opportunity.” He countered. “You should have been accepting of the new members. With Wolf’s blood comes Moon magic… which is impossibly rare. Lulliba made no witches. I don’t see how any of you thought that there *wouldn’t* be repercussions for your actions, success or not. Tell me how you got in Red Diamond.”
“It wasn’t hard. A tattoo, some makeup, a demon…It helps that I gained friends in high places, since he’s a slut. He wasn’t hard to convince. It wasn’t hard at all to gain entry as a transfer. It was even easier to use this room and summon imps to open the way. I even left breadcrumbs for the humans… They were even dumber than *you* lot. All I had to do was let them kill an imp, and let them chase the second one I summoned.” She smirked, but I couldn’t tell who she was looking at….
It was clear that some of Red’s witches were trying to leave.
As if Zeh’Karraam would let them…
“You will kill me, but know that your coven’s security was only as secure as your officer’s pants zipper.” She grinned.
The only way in or out down here was behind the First Demon. He was shifted into a 15-foot ram… His tattoos were unlike any other, being such a dark crimson that they looked black. The only way I could even See them, was that his marks pulsed the outline of the words. It was a full incantation to bind him.
It made me wonder what that was for…
“You need 5 witches to summon a demon. Who are the 4 others?” Velimier hissed. He’d noticed her eye’s direction too.
“You know them well old man. All four of them are right behind you.” She looked at the people behind Velimier…. Zayde’s cousins. Gulteer was speechless.
Gulteer’s eyes changed from red to black. His pupils glowed in his silence.
They summoned brooms and tried to flee, but no one would let them. I don’t know why they came… They should have known someone was going to find out.
“We were as brothers Telimier…. Even during the war, I saved your *useless* life… Why?” Asked Zayde. He stood there weakly, holding Aptherraam as a brace… This hurt him. “Is that what you thought of me this whole time?”
“Look at you.” Telimier hissed, being put in cuffs, and brought to stand next to Nadya. All 5 of them were made to be on their knees. They would be losing their heads for this.
“I could have forgiven you for your hatred towards me… but you lot threaten my wife and our people… Your OWN people… We as Dark Witches only have ourselves. You realize now that there will be little trust for your father, and his leadership? You realize that when this gets out, and they leave the coven on mass, every single one of them will be in danger until they find somewhere else? Do you realize no one may take them in because of YOU?”
He looked ashamed…. It seemed none of them thought of that.
“Explain. Revilous.” Said Velimier.
“It’s Zayde this, Zayde That. He struts around as if he was *always* old blood.” Growled Telimier.
“So, you break your oaths to your wife and your coven… and betray your own blood to side with a witch who means you no good?” His father asked. “What the Fuck were you lot thinking?”
“You’re one to talk father! You felt the same way.” Hissed Telimier.
“There’s a difference between being upset, and holding true hatred…. And an even bigger difference from owning up to your mistakes and *being a man enough to admit you’re wrong*, than slinking around. There is no reason good enough for your actions… but I want to hear why… I want to know why you betrayed your people.” Velimier growled.
