Chapter 133 Take a Photo

Since Edward brought it up, I locked eyes with him and asked, "Were you the one who posted my photos online?"

Before Edward could answer, Anne jumped up and blocked him, her face a mix of panic and forced calm. "Diana, it was me. I was just joking around."

This was exactly what I was waiting for. Without a second thought, I slapped Anne hard across the face. "A joke?" I glared at her, my eyes blazing with anger.

Anne started crying, tears streaming down her face, her eyes red as she wailed, "Edward, Diana hit me."

Edward looked shocked that I would hit Anne right in front of him. His eyes widened in surprise, and he spun around, shouting, "Diana, what are you doing?"

I didn't back down, slapping Anne again. "Nothing, just playing a joke on Anne," I said with a mocking smile.

Anne's cheeks swelled up from the slaps. She clung to Edward's arm like a scared koala, her eyes full of fear and grievance, seeking his protection.

Edward frowned, stepped forward, and pointed a finger at me, his eyes filled with anger. "Diana, that's enough! She said it was just a joke."

"Just a joke?" I shot back, my voice trembling with rage. "So my privacy and dignity are just a joke to Anne?" I was so furious that my body shook, and I struggled to find the right words.

Edward grabbed my shoulders with both hands, his face trying to look reassuring, but his grip was firm.

"Alright," he said, "I know Anne went too far. I'll make sure she deletes the photos. Just let it go, okay?"

Tears streamed down my cheeks uncontrollably. Deleting the photos was the easy part, but it wouldn't erase the damage done. How could that possibly solve the problem?

"Diana, we're in this mess because of you. How dare you ask me to delete the photos?" With Edward's protection, Anne grew bolder, lifting her chin in defiance, her eyes gleaming with pride, as if challenging me.

I couldn't believe Anne was twisting the facts and blaming me.

I was furious, unable to believe her shamelessness. "You're blaming me? How dare you say that?" I stared at her, my eyes almost spitting fire.

Anne said, "Do you remember I told you that if you helped me achieve my dream, I would get along with you." She crossed her arms over her chest, slightly raising her head, as if reminding me or flaunting her plan.

"Your self-righteous attitude makes me sick." I was filled with disgust. Anne's so-called dream was just selfishness. How could I possibly join forces with her?

"But since you won't help me, I have to follow through." Anne sat back on the bed, moving slowly and looking relaxed, as if she was talking about something unrelated to her. Seeing her like this made me grit my teeth in anger.

I remembered the day in the hospital when she asked me to find a way to make Aria disappear from Edward's life. I couldn't believe she was so vicious and really started to retaliate against me. I was both angry and regretful, realizing that trusting her words had led me to this situation.

"Diana, I'm really disappointed in you," Anne said, pausing for effect. "But I'll give you a chance. If you listen to me, I'll issue a statement saying the photo was a fake. Think about it?" She smiled slyly, her eyes gleaming with pride, as if she was sure I'd follow her orders to get out of this mess.

Edward, clearly out of the loop, asked with a stern face, "Anne, what are you talking about? I don't understand."

Anne quickly remembered Edward was still in the room and tried to cover up. "Nothing, just girl talk. You don't need to worry about it. Diana knows what's important, right?" She shot me a threatening glance.

Her words were like a match to gasoline, igniting the anger I'd been holding back.

I felt like an enraged lion, shaking off Edward's grip and lunging at Anne. My hands, like claws, reached for her clothes, my eyes burning with uncontrollable fury. I screamed, "Why don't you strip down too and let me take a photo of you!"

Anne's eyes widened in terror, a flash of panic quickly followed by a hint of excitement, as if she was secretly hoping this chaos would work in her favor. I grabbed her collar and tore at her clothes with all my strength.

She flailed wildly, screaming shrilly, trying to stop me. Her body convulsed, her once neat hair now a mess, strands sticking to her face, which was filled with fake anger and fear. She cried out for help but kept glancing at Edward, her mouth twitching as if trying to suppress a triumphant smile, making me feel sick.

"Diana! Have you had enough?" Edward's roar was like a thunderclap, making me freeze. He thought I was being unreasonable, while the real culprit hid behind him.

Seeing Edward protect her, Anne immediately showed a victorious smile, filled with malice and pride. She hid behind Edward, making faces at me, her eyes flashing with provocation, her mouth curling up in a gloating smile.

Unable to contain the fury inside me, I lashed out, kicking and hitting Edward in my desperate attempt to get to her, shouting, "Move! Don't block Anne!"

With a strong wave of his hand, I fell helplessly onto the sofa, tears of frustration welling up in my eyes. Edward stepped forward, pressing my shoulders tightly. His voice was low and filled with warning as his eyes bore into mine. "I told you not to hurt Anne."

I looked up at him, my lips trembling, unable to say a word. Seeing me confront Edward, Anne took the opportunity to stand up, smugly straightening her skirt, her face showing a victor's smile. She walked out of the room with a swagger, as if declaring her victory.

"Edward, let me go!" I said, watching Anne's back with reluctance. I wanted to get up and chase after her, but Edward held me down even tighter.
