Chapter 243 The Bride Fiona

"Enough!" Edward's face was beet red as he stormed forward, jabbing a finger at Aria. "You're out of control! Who do you think you are? Your reckless behavior is just making everything worse!"

His chest heaved with rage, a stark contrast to his usually calm demeanor.

A few guests, driven by a sense of justice, couldn't stand Aria's actions and stepped forward to scold her loudly, "How can you act like this, young lady? On such a happy day, you're ruining everyone's good time!"

"I want to ruin you all." Aria rarely opposed Edward, but now she laughed even more arrogantly.

David stood nearby, his face pale, fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles turned white. Watching the chaos unfold, his eyes reflected a deep sense of helplessness, as if everything had spiraled out of his control in an instant.

David's lips moved, but no sound came out. What was supposed to be a pivotal moment in his life had turned into a farce, and he was powerless to stop it, only able to watch as things got worse.

Ronnie's face turned a dark shade of blue with anger as he shouted, "This is madness! You're a crazy woman!"

Aria glanced at him with disdain. "Madness? Mr. Griffin, you should think about how to clean up this mess. The man about to marry your daughter has been seeing someone else. If this gets out, the Griffin family will be humiliated."

"Security! Get this crazy woman out of here!" Ronnie finally lost his patience and ordered the bodyguards. Two burly guards grabbed Aria and began to escort her out of the banquet hall.

Aria continued to shout, "I'll make sure this business marriage fails, and your companies suffer. I'll make sure your plans fall apart, and you know what it's like to be schemed against!"

The atmosphere in the banquet hall was suffocating, and the guests reacted in various ways.

A few elegantly dressed women covered their mouths, their eyes filled with shock and curiosity, whispering to each other more and more loudly, "Who knew there was so much drama behind the scenes?"

They shook their heads as they spoke, their eyes darting between the key players, trying to piece together the story.

Some younger guests had already taken out their phones, discreetly taking photos and videos of the scene. A young man sitting behind me muttered quietly, "This is way more exciting than any TV show. If I post this, it'll definitely go viral."

However, most of the guests weren't thinking about gossip.

The majority of those invited to the wedding were business partners of the Griffin and Wilson families, and they were more concerned about how this fiasco would affect their own businesses.

A middle-aged businessman whispered to his companion, "This is getting out of hand. We need to go back and discuss whether we should stop our partnership."

Another person responded, "What's there to discuss? Continuing to work with them would be foolish."

Their voices were quickly drowned out by the growing noise. The banquet hall remained chaotic, with everyone waiting to see how this drama would end. Just when things were about to go completely off the rails, the doors of the banquet hall slowly opened, and a dazzling light poured in.

Everyone's eyes instinctively followed the light. Fiona, dressed in an incredibly luxurious wedding gown, walked gracefully towards the stage like a princess from a fairy tale.

Fiona's confident and composed steps immediately drew everyone's attention. Seeing her appear, the guests were filled with mixed emotions.

They knew the situation had become so absurd that even if David and Fiona went through with the wedding, it would be hard to salvage.

Fiona stepped onto the stage, her gaze sweeping over the varied expressions of the guests before finally landing on David.

David stood there, dazed, the panic and confusion in his eyes vanishing the moment he met Fiona's gaze. He instinctively took a step towards her, closing the distance between them.

Fiona took the microphone from the host, lifted her chin slightly, and cleared her throat. Her voice rang out clear and strong, "Everyone, I apologize for the delay. There was a small issue with my dress, which caused me to be late. I didn't expect it to lead to such a poor wedding experience for you all."

Fiona spoke with such grace that she instantly showcased the Griffin family's elegance, and the guests quieted down.

"I know you all have many questions, especially about the video that was just shown." Fiona paused, looking at David again. "I want to be honest with everyone. David did have a past relationship, which is no secret. I knew about it from the beginning."

The guests murmured softly, surprised by Fiona's straightforwardness.

Fiona raised her hand gently, signaling for silence, and continued, "Before dating me, my fiancé David was indeed involved with Diana. It was a normal relationship between young people, nothing scandalous. They broke up for certain reasons, and later, David moved to Ignis for work."

As she spoke, Fiona took David's hand, looking at him with deep affection. "We met through work, and the time we spent together made us fall in love. We've come a long way, and we truly want to spend the rest of our lives together."

At this point, Fiona's eyes glistened with tears, as if recalling their shared memories.

Watching Fiona's heartfelt performance, I couldn't help but admire her storytelling skills. Even David, standing beside Fiona, looked surprised.

"As you all know, the Griffin and Wilson families have some business collaborations, but those have nothing to do with our relationship. This is not the business marriage that woman claimed." Fiona glanced at Aria, who was being held by the bodyguards.

The host, standing nearby, couldn't help but wipe the sweat from his forehead with his sleeve. This was a major blunder in his career. Not only had he failed to verify Aria's identity, but he also hadn't reviewed the video before showing it.

His mistake had caused significant trouble for the Griffin and Wilson families, potentially leading to irreversible financial losses, a responsibility far beyond what a host could bear.

David stood by, listening to Fiona's words, his face a mix of confusion and surprise. His gaze drifted to Diana and the others, filled with complex emotions.

Memories of his past with Diana flashed through his mind, but looking at Fiona in her wedding dress, bravely speaking her heart, he couldn't help but feel moved.
