Chapter 67 I'll Go Wild with You This Time
"Honey, where are you?" I asked softly. As expected, Edward was still out of town. He didn't mention why he was on this business trip, and I didn't bother asking. Just like always, he only shared work stuff with me when he thought it was necessary.
Edward was naturally suspicious, so I didn't plan on telling him anytime soon that I had sold my shares in the Cooper Group behind his back to avoid any future drama.
When Edward said he'd be gone for a few more days, I felt relieved. That gave me enough time to move forward with my plan against Anne. Last week, Anne was sick at home, and I took care of her like a doting nurse. I had already figured out her game, and now it was time for the real showdown.
I raised my voice and acted all sweet, "It'll be so long before you come back, but I miss you so much. Anne's at school, and I'm so bored at home alone."
Anne had taught me that acting coy was a winning tactic. For a woman like me, her coyness was dizzying, let alone to men, especially to someone as high and mighty as Edward.
"What, are you lonely by yourself?" Edward's voice was playful.
"Yes, I haven't seen you or been with you for two weeks." I deliberately softened my voice, laying on the charm.
"If you miss me, come here." Edward hung up after saying that. Shortly after, I got his address in Regal City on my phone.
'Very well, Edward, I will come to you,' I thought, slowly putting away my smile. I left a message for Anne, telling her I had an urgent matter and needed to go on a business trip, so she should stay at the Howard mansion for the next couple of days. I also called Melissa to help pack my luggage.
Then, I quickly booked a ticket to Regal City.
Melissa was thrilled to hear I was going to Edward. "Mrs. Howard, you finally came around. You and Mr. Howard really need more time together. The more time you spend together, the better your relationship will be, and then you'll have children. It's better than drinking any amount of herbal medicine."
Melissa had always been concerned about me having a child with Edward. I used to be obsessed with giving Edward a child, and those bitter herbal concoctions were like a daily routine for me. After four years, I was still not showing any symptoms. Now, Melissa still insisted on making herbal soups for me every day, but I no longer drank a single drop.
On the train to Regal City, I started looking up fun places around the city. After all, Edward was there on a business trip, and I couldn't take up too much of his time.
Regal City was in the southern region, surrounded by lots of woodlands. Given the warm and humid climate of this season, it was perfect for camping. I ordered the necessary camping gear online. By the time I arrived at the hotel where Edward was staying, it was already evening, and the gear had been delivered to the front desk.
Edward was staying in the presidential suite of a local five-star hotel. The place was top-notch, with a reception room, bedroom, and bathroom as standard, and even a garden with a starlit terrace. This garden was accessible only to guests staying in this suite, ensuring absolute privacy.
Outside the hotel was a deep forest. I chuckled to myself, Edward, no wonder you asked me to come to you; you had everything planned. Since you wanted to play, I would play wild with you.
Back in the room, I started organizing my suitcase and found two sets of lingerie at the bottom. These outfits weren't overtly revealing but were designed to be subtly seductive. After taking a shower, I put on one of the light green sets. The top was perfectly tailored, with every line seemingly measured and drawn with precision.
The neckline was slightly open, and the waist area cleverly hugged my curves as if designed to showcase my slender waist. The unique feature of this lingerie was the open-crotch pants, with loose pants that fell gracefully, each fold like an artful line, swaying gently with my steps. The light green fabric fluttered at the hem like a dyed green cloud.
The subtly revealing open-crotch area was like a little secret, holding a unique allure and casual freedom. The overall lingerie, set against the light green, exuded a fresh, pure, yet slightly seductive charm.
Melissa understood me. Edward, tonight I would conquer you. When Edward returned, I was waiting for him on the swing. His gaze was intense as if it could pierce through my soul. My heartbeat quickened involuntarily, a strange mix of nervousness and anticipation spreading within me. He walked towards me step by step, each step seeming to tread on my heart. I could hear my rapid breathing, unusually clear in the quiet forest. Edward finally stood before me, raising his hand to caress my face gently. His fingers were slightly cool, making my face feel even hotter.
"Are you hungry? Let's get something to eat," I jumped off the swing and pulled Edward along.
"Hungry for you," Edward's voice was deep and magnetic, pulling me back. Before I could react, he lowered his head, his lips moving towards mine. I giggled, half resisting, half yielding. When his lips touched mine, a jolt of electricity spread from my lips throughout my body.
The kiss started gently, like a feather brushing over my heart. His lips were slightly warm, slowly mingling with mine. As our feelings merged, the kiss became passionate and deep. I instinctively wrapped my arms around his neck, pressing tightly against him. His arms encircled my waist, holding me even closer.
Time seemed to stand still at that moment. He discovered the secret under my skirt and pressed me between two trees. I supported myself on the tree trunks with my arms, feeling him slowly enter my body from behind. His hands gripped my hips, supporting my lower body, thrusting into me, almost pushing my soul out of my body.
My moans mingled with the sounds of insects and rustling leaves as if they were playing a love melody for us. Everything around us seemed to bear witness to our intimacy. In this deep forest, our closeness felt like the most primal expression of love. I couldn't imagine how I had the courage to choose such a location, but I loved it.
"Diana, you're so charming and proactive. It's much better than that day at the funeral home. I wonder what David would think if he saw this," he whispered in my ear, stopping his movements.
