Chapter 102 Mr. Lee's Effortless Resolution

Spencer let out a sigh of relief when Charles praised the translation.

He explained, "Mr. Lee, the translator is a college student who graduated just a year ago. She's a classmate of my daughter. During her school years, she worked part-time to support herself, and now she still takes on part-time jobs while caring for her sick brother. So, I outsourced the translation to her."

Charles added, "Mr. Blackwood, you have a good heart and know how to support young talent. It's a blessing for the academic community. If possible, we can consider long-term cooperation with her in the future."

Charles silently secured a long-term job for Luna.

If Spencer had taken all the credit for himself, Charles might have considered gradually cutting off cooperation with him. But now, it seemed Spencer was living up to the title of a good mentor.

Spencer felt a bit embarrassed by Charles's praise.

"Mr. Lee, you're too kind. I'll try to give all the future materials to Luna."

Charles remarked, "Actually, our company's other projects that require German translation can also be given to her. Clack Mitchell, if needed, you can coordinate with Ms. Brown. Our company has had projects to support struggling college students before, and this type of cooperation can be long-term."

With that, he looked at his male secretary Clack, who immediately took note.

Spencer watched Charles leave, feeling relieved yet surprised.

'Mr. Lee isn't as cold and unapproachable as the rumors said and he was quite easygoing,' Spencer thought.

Little did Spencer know that Charles had quietly secured Luna's part-time income.

He had effortlessly resolved Luna's financial worries.

In the evening, Luna returned home carrying a blackfish, a pound of lobster, and some lamb chops.

Entering the door, she saw Charles and Eric on the balcony studying something. Luna put down her things and went over.

"What are you guys looking at?" Luna asked curiously.

"Luna, Charles gave me a drone. He said he'll take me to the park next week to test fly it." Eric said excitedly. He never dreamed he could have a drone, especially the latest model.

Luna frowned at Charles, but before she could speak, Charles raised his hand to stop her.

"I know what you're going to say. This drone was a gift from a client, not bought. It didn't cost me a penny! Don't even think about splitting the bill with me! Besides, I eat the meals you cook every day, and I haven't paid you for your labor! Consider this as covering my meal expenses."

Charles's reasoning was flawless.

Luna didn't argue with him. After all, if they parted ways in the future, the drone would stay with him.

"Tonight, I'm making fish, chips and lobster bisque. The lamb chops will be roasted with garlic and some black pepper," Luna said and then went to the kitchen to get busy.

She had called Charles earlier and knew he wasn't picky about fish and shrimp.

"You seem to be in a good mood today."

Charles let Eric study the drone on his own and went to the kitchen to talk to Luna.

Luna responded, "Although Ella and Alice's matter will be resolved tomorrow, I received an advance payment today. Didn't I take on an outsourced translation project from the Lee Group?"

"I sent them a piece of translated material this morning, and they were very satisfied. They even paid me fifty percent of the advance payment. I'll be doing all the translation for this project, and over the next month or two, I can earn about $7,000."

Luna waved her fair and slender hand in front of Charles.

Charles looked at her and smiled.

'Isn't it all because of my good acting?' Charles thought.

But seeing her satisfied and relaxed smile, he felt genuinely happy.

"Want me to help with the cooking?" He asked.

Charles gestured for Luna to give him some tasks.

Luna was initially hesitant to trouble him, but seeing he had no intention of leaving the kitchen when her phone rang, she asked Charles to answer it since she was wearing gloves.

The caller ID showed it was Warren.

Charles glanced at the phone, his eyes darkened, and he swiped the screen hard, putting it on speaker.
