Chapter 98 A Gentle Kiss

Charles heard Luna fall and didn't even bother locking the car. He rushed around to help her up. This time, he didn't pull away like he used to when she touched him.

Luna was sweating, her face pale. Her pants were scraped at the knees, showing bruises. She had been in such a hurry to see Eric that she tripped.

"It was my fault. I'm fine... Let's go see Eric first," Luna said, limping forward.

Charles, feeling worried, stepped in front of her. "I'll carry you. Get on."

He bent down, signaling for her to hop on his back.

Luna waved her hands. "No need, I can walk. I can hop."

She demonstrated by hopping on one leg. Charles's face darkened.

"If you hop around here at this hour, people might think you're a zombie! Who are you trying to scare?"

He felt both worried and amused watching her. Despite her determination, he couldn't help but feel sorry for her. But he kept a stern face.

"If you want to see Eric quickly, stop messing around! I'm not trying to take advantage of you," he said harshly.

Luna always thought he had a commanding presence, especially in his dark, well-tailored suit.

She speculated, 'With this aura, he must be often mistaken for a boss.'

"As long as you're not afraid of me taking advantage of you! Last time I touched your hand, you acted like I had the plague!" Luna grumbled but obediently climbed onto his back, wrapping her arms around his neck. The warmth and closeness were new to Charles, and he found himself wanting more.

In the shadows, Mike and Michael exchanged shocked glances. Was this really their Mr. Lee? They should let the gossip media and high-society ladies see this! Mr. Lee definitely liked women!

Luna's hands were in front of Charles, her long hair brushing against his cheek, sending a ticklish sensation through him. It was the first time he had carried a young woman on his back, except for his mother Ashley when she was sick.

Luna didn't know where to put her hands and ended up choking Charles a few times, making veins pop on his forehead. He had to adjust her legs to lift her up, but when he did, her chest pressed against his back. The sensation was tight and elastic, and Charles knew exactly what it was.

His face turned red, the blush spreading to his ears. Luna felt awkward too, wishing her chest could temporarily move to her back.

"I'll walk up the stairs myself," Luna said, trying to get off his back. But just as she was about to, Charles turned his head, and her lips accidentally brushed his earlobe.

Charles's earlobe turned purple. Luna's soft lips sent a shiver down his spine. He could feel the warmth and moisture of her lips, and surprisingly, he didn't mind it at all.
