Chapter 41 Can't You See It's a Luxury Car?

Charles made over a dozen calls asking the other party to move their car. Finally, someone picked up, but the voice on the other end was lazy. It was a woman who sounded like she had just woken up.

"Your car is blocking mine. Come down and move it!" Charles's voice was cold and stern.

"If you can wait like 20 minutes, I can head out with you. Otherwise I gotta come all the way back here later."

When hearing a man's voice that was quite magnetic, the woman deliberately acted coy.

But Charles wasn't having any of it.

"Either you come down and move your car right now, or I'll call a tow truck to move it for you!"

"You wouldn't dare! My car is worth over fifty grand! One of mine is worth five of yours! If it gets scratched, you can't afford to pay for it!"The woman raised her voice.

It's just moving a car, right?

If Charles had been a bit nicer and asked her politely, she would have moved it for him! Why should she go down just because he said so?

Besides! Couldn't he see she had a luxury car?

Why couldn't he just give her a break?

He was driving a fancy car he can't afford, and he thought a parking spot made him special?

Charles didn't say another word and simply hung up the phone.

Then he walked a short distance away and called Mike.

"Get another company car over here and call the traffic police to tow away an illegally parked SUV."

"Got it, Mr. Lee."

Mike hung up and had a rarely-seen bodyguard drive the car to the edge of the neighborhood, while he personally went to the parking lot , following the proper procedures , calling the traffic police and waiting for the tow truck.

After giving his instructions, Charles pushed Eric's wheelchair and started walking out.

"There's a company car nearby, the same one as last time. I'll drive that to take you guys."

Luna caught up and advised, "How about Eric and I take a cab? I'm afraid it might not look good for you for keeping using your company's car."

Luna didn't want to take advantage of the situation and  she was worried it might reflect poorly on Charles.

Charles didn't expect her to refuse, so he made up another reason.

"That car is assigned to our department by the company. I just need to fill up the gas after using it."

"Then I'll give you gas money." Luna, though not insisting, still felt uneasy.

Charles stopped and frowned at her.

"Luna, can you stop bringing money into everything? We're married now. Even if it's just for a month, but I'll take responsibility."

"During this month, I'll be the one earning money and supporting the family. If you need anything, I'll buy it. If it's something personal, and you don't want to use that card, I won't object to you using your own money."

"But when it comes to household necessities, stop talking to me about money."

Charles wasn't short on money, and he wouldn't spend it recklessly, but he really didn't think it was necessary to be as meticulous as Luna.

As long as she didn't spend extravagantly, he had no objections.

"Alright, let's go. Stop nagging."

Luna waved her hand, really not wanting to hear his lecture.

The three of them reached the roadside, and the bodyguard handed the keys to Charles. Just as he was about to respectfully say goodbye to Mr. Lee, he suddenly remembered Mike's instructions and quickly said, "Mr. Lee, I'll be off now."

Charles nodded, and the three of them drove towards the wholesale market.

Before setting off, Charles thought they were going to a nearby supermarket, but Luna had navigated them to the largest wholesale market in Bright City.

Charles had never been here before and never thought he would come.

The parking lot was mostly filled with cargo vans, and even the trunks of regular family cars were packed to the brim.

The market was so vast.

It seemed Charles was the only one in a suit and tie here.

"You couldn't have given me a heads-up? I would've dressed way more casual." Charles glared at Luna, dissatisfied.
