Chapter 29 I Feel Disgusted
Luna politely accepted Danniel's business card, glanced at it, and then put it in her bag.
"I'm Luna, an intern. I don't have a business card." Luna said honestly.
"I believed that we'll meet again if it's meant to be."
Danniel didn't mind, because meeting and interacting with people was all about fate. If it worked out, it was great. If not, there was no need to force it.
When they arrived at Pearl Plaza, Luna got out of the car first, said goodbye to the driver and Danniel, and then entered the mall.
Danniel didn't expect that sharing a ride would lead to such an interesting encounter. He would tell Charles about it later.
Anna, having failed at emotional blackmail, called another cab. While in the car, she received a call from Ashley and started crying after just a few words.
Ashley quickly asked what was wrong. Then Anna exaggerated the story, omitting her own faults and portraying herself as the victim.
"Auntie Ashley , it's really my fault. I wanted to switch seats just because I get carsick. When that man refused, I didn't say anything more. Who knew the three of them would gang up on me, especially that young girl. She was so rude... If I had known, I would have just taken the bus to see you."
Anna's car was still being repaired. To show Ashley how frugal and hardworking she was, she had been taking the bus these days. Today, she woke up late and was afraid of being late, so she rushed to catch a ride.
Who knew she would encounter three lunatics!
"Anna, don't be upset. I know you feel wronged. You can use my son's car temporarily until yours is fixed. It's a seven-seater SUV, bought just last year. It might be a bit big for a girl, but at least you won't have to squeeze in with others."
Ashley almost said it was her son's company car.
"No need, Auntie Ashley . I can just take the bus."
Anna said she didn't need it, but inside she was overjoyed.
Her little red car was bought second-hand and was a former commercial vehicle. It would be forcibly scrapped next year.
If she could drive Charles's car and later find a way to transfer the title to her name, it would be very convenient .
"I said you can use it, so you will! I'll have him bring the car over, and you can drive it back."
Ashley made the decision without hesitation, and Anna pretended to decline a bit before finally agreeing.
At that moment, Charles was still in a meeting, completely unaware that the Anna he almost registered with and the Luna he mistakenly registered with had met.
And sparks flew between them.
The astronomical telescope Charles had Max buy had arrived, and Max said it could be installed that evening.
Charles asked Max to go to the cafe and see if Eric liked it. If he did, they would finalize the purchase.
He admitted he felt sympathy for Eric.
The child's eyes were so pure and innocent, so it was hard to refuse him.
Max went to the cafe and brought Eric home to watch the installation.
Max was stunned the first time he saw Eric.
This boy was even more beautiful than a girl!
But his sickly pallor was obvious.
Meanwhile, when Luna entered the coffee shop ,she saw that there were two young men in their twenties sitting across from Summer.
Summer, who usually dressed impeccably, was wearing a casual hoodie and sweatpants, looking like she had just finished a run.
"Luna, over here."
Summer saw Luna and quickly got up to walk towards her, grabbing her arm and whispering, "Help me! It's a blind date! Save me!"
Luna said, "What?..."
Luna's head started to ache at the mention of a blind date.
No wonder Summer had changed so much. She hadn't told her about her registration right away, but she hadn't even scolded her over the phone.
It turned out Summer had tricked her into accompanying her on a blind date!
