Chapter 135 As Long As He Clears His Name
Ethan had been pampered by his parents for as long as he could remember. He always put himself first.
In his mind, Ella and Alice were too old to worry about their reputations. He, on the other hand, was young and had a bright future ahead.
As long as he cleared his name, it didn't matter how bad others looked.
"Ethan, I know you're upset. Don't worry. I'll do whatever it takes for you. Just take care of yourself at work, eat lunch on time, and drink water."

"And that video, you said if I forced Luna somehow, it would be settled. It makes people think I'm desperate! I used to be popular at the company, but now look at this!"
"When I turn things around, I'll make Luna pay back tenfold, a hundredfold!"
Ethan angrily hung up the phone, and Ella, with red eyes, pushed open Alice's door.
Alice wasn't feeling well either. She didn't have to pretend to be sick anymore because she was really sick.
She lay in bed, gasping for breath, and started cursing as soon as she woke up, only stopping for a moment when it was time to eat.
But Alice only dared to curse at home. She didn't even dare to step outside.
"Mom, you have to think of something! If this isn't resolved, Ethan won't be able to survive! If anything happens to Ethan, I won't live either!" Ella sat by Alice's bed and started crying.
Alice's face turned livid. As she sat up, she cursed again.
She cursed Luna, Eric, Luna's parents, Luna's biological grandparents, and even her own deceased husband.
She didn't forget to curse Ella's neighbor who exposed the video.
"Has your neighbor come home yet? Keep an eye on her. As soon as she comes back, we'll go bang on her door! If I can't live in peace, neither can she!"
The neighbor Alice was talking about lived on the first floor and was one of the few neighbors in the community that Ella could talk to.
So Ella wasn't very wary of her.
Who knew this time she would be completely betrayed by her.
"Mom, I'm keeping an eye on her! They only have this one house. They can't hide for long! They'll be back sooner or later!" Ella replied as she wiped her nose and suddenly thought of her son's words.
They needed a scapegoat.

"Mom, The whole mess went nuclear when Luna and Eric's phone numbers were exposed. That's what really set them off."
"Otherwise, Luna wouldn't have reacted so strongly. If I had known, I wouldn't have told Lisa about it. We shouldn't have listened to her and let her expose the numbers. If worse comes to worst, Mom, you could call Lisa and have her apologize to Luna in person."
"Then we can persuade Lisa to take the blame. It won't affect her much anyway."
The 'Lisa' Ella was talking about was Lisa Brown, her own sister.

Alice was silent for a moment.
