Chapter 167 Your Comeback Hinges on This
FoodieFusion was getting cursed out by his former followers.
His face was covered in egg yolk, coffee, and milk tea.
He ran away in a panic and ended up falling into a ditch.
When he got home, he found his door plastered with nasty notes.
Just as he was about to go inside, a big hand stopped him.
"You... it's you?"
He thought it was another angry former followers, so he instinctively shielded his head. But when he saw it was Ethan, he got mad.
"What are you doing here? Haven't you ruined me enough?"
FoodieFusion felt wronged and didn't see his own mistakes.
"I'm here to help. We're both in a mess because of Luna. Let me in! I have a plan to deal with her."
Ethan adjusted his glasses, eyes full of malice.
FoodieFusion looked around, saw no one, and hesitated before letting Ethan in.
As soon as the door closed, FoodieFusion threw a punch at Ethan.
But Ethan dodged it.
"Hold on. Don't you want to hear my plan?"
Ethan was also struggling. Every project he was working on at the company was put on ice. His boss said he'd get back to them later, but as long as Luna didn't clear things up, he was pretty much stuck in limbo.
FoodieFusion was in an even worse spot, basically having hit rock bottom.
Both of them had nothing to lose.
"Have you ever thought we missed something about Luna's live-in boyfriend?"
"People love gossip. We just need to find her boyfriend and dig up some dirt on him—like drug use or jail time—to divert attention away from our own mess."
Ethan had been brewing this plan for days.
FoodieFusion shook his head. "Luna's too sneaky. I could never find out where she lives or who she's with."
Ethan replied, "That just proves her private life is shady! I heard she's living with some guy, but that's all I know. If he hasn't shown up by now, he's hiding something. Digging up dirt on him would be huge."
"Your comeback hinges on this! If we have to, we can even make stuff up." Ethan finished, and FoodieFusion hesitated.
Ethan pressed on, "We've known each other for years. If this works, I'll give you some money and use my connections to clear your name. In a month, you'll be more popular than ever."
Ethan painted a rosy picture for FoodieFusion.
FoodieFusion looked at his phone, seeing tons of missed calls.
The backlash he faced was way worse than what Luna and Eric had gone through.
Ethan's promise tempted him.
If he could get his popularity and fans back, why hesitate?
"Alright, I'm in. I'll contact the head of paid trolls I know and have him spread dirt about Luna's boyfriend online! The troll head only cares about money! You go home and wait for my news."
With FoodieFusion's promise, Ethan finally relaxed. But when he got home, the atmosphere was eerie.
