Chapter 97 Bullying Luna Means Crossing Him

Luna's phone was blowing up with all kinds of nasty messages.

Unknown: [Ms. Brown! Your dirty secrets are out! Just wait for your social death!]

Unknown: [I heard you scammed money everywhere to support a gigolo, lying that your brother was sick. How are you still alive? When are you gonna die? I wanna celebrate!]

Unknown: [Your grandma didn't want your dad's pension. She just wanted you to live well! She's old and sick, and when she wanted to see you, you didn't even show up! How do you still have the nerve to live? If I were you, I'd have killed myself already!]

Unknown: [I heard your grandma went to the police station to find you, and you hid! Can you hide forever?! I'll go to the police station to find you on Monday!]

Unknown: [Your name is Luna, right? Why are you playing dead now? Hanging out with thugs at such a young age, be careful you don't end up diseased and unwanted! But who knows if you'll even live that long! Everyone's cursing you to death!]

The messages kept coming, and Luna only skimmed through a few. Charles glanced at them and then pulled the car over to the side of the road.

"Give me the phone!" His voice was cold, seething with anger.

Luna handed him the phone. After reading a few messages, Charles's expression grew even more terrifying.

Some messages had escalated to personal attacks and serious defamation.

"It must be Ella and her friends who deliberately leaked my phone number. Some idiots are playing the role of justice warriors." Luna replied.

The incident had been brewing for a day. Seeing that Luna hadn't responded and hadn't called them, Ella and her friends deliberately leaked her number to force her to respond.

But now wasn't the time for Luna to come forward.

She was still missing a bit of evidence.

"I'll investigate these calls. When we file a lawsuit, they'll all be evidence!"

Charles was furious.

It was true that he and Luna were only married in name, but bullying Luna was crossing him! Luna was his wife. Whether they loved each other or not, she was his partner.

Luna's Facebook was also flooded with new friend requests.

Without exception, they were all filled with insults and curses, cursing her to get hit by a car, to be crushed by a telephone pole, saying she deserved to be an orphan.

Luna urged, "Charles! Hurry back! Eric's phone might have received messages too!"

Luna suddenly realized, gripping Charles's arm tightly, her eyes filled with worry and anxiety.

She could endure all this because she knew the more Ella and Alice acted out now, the harder they'd fall on Monday.

But Eric might not be able to handle it.

"Got it. Don't worry. Don't call him yet. He might be asleep and unaware. If you call, he might see it even if he doesn't want to."

Charles reminded Luna while driving.

Luna's hand holding the phone trembled slightly.

If anything happened to Eric, she would sue them until they were bankrupt!

"Eric usually turns off his phone at night. I'm worried he might forget."

Luna, hearing Charles's words, didn't dare to call Eric.

There were fewer cars at night, so driving back took only fifteen minutes, but to Luna, it felt like an eternity.

Fortunately, Charles kept comforting her, preventing her from sinking into a deep abyss of negative emotions.

"Do you think they might find out where we live and cause trouble for you?"

Luna knew that with the current state of information technology, it's not difficult to dig up information about someone online, but it's also very easy to break the law.

"They won't. Trust me."

Charles's words weren't just to comfort Luna. If he couldn't even protect his own address, he wouldn't be fit to be the CEO of the Lee Group.

He had that much confidence.

Charles drove into the garage and parked. Luna opened the door to get out, but in her haste, she missed a step and fell to the ground.

Her entire knee hit the cold concrete floor, sending a sharp pain throughout her body.
