In just two days, Luna had gathered over a hundred defamatory numbers to sue, showing she had some serious backing.
Plus, the name Luna rang a bell. Anna remembered that Charles had accidentally gotten a marriage license with someone named Luna. What were the odds?
At this point, Anna only dared to target drivers and passengers who seemed to have no clout.
She thought, 'What kind of power can a carpooler have? Just a middle-aged poor guy.'
As for the driver, she could smear him as greedy and corrupt.
The troll leader, after getting paid, got to work fast.
He hired a bunch of people to stir up trouble on Uber's account and even brought up a shocking nationwide murder case from a few years ago to divert attention.
As more people caused trouble, it seemed like Anna's side had quieted down for a bit.
Though Anna felt the pinch of spending money, she thought it was worth it.
People on the internet have short memories and would soon forget about this incident. Plus, the passenger's video and audio had privacy rights, and Uber couldn't just release them.
If they did, who would dare to take an Uber in the future? Wouldn't there always be a risk of having their privacy exposed?
By the afternoon, Uber's account was overrun and had even hit the top of the trending list.
Seeing that the hired trolls were effective, Anna breathed a sigh of relief, still naively thinking she had dodged a bullet.
Inside the Pine Valley Villas, Danniel glanced at the trending list and smirked.
He had just found out that the other side had hired trolls and spent money to divert public attention.
Was this a contest of who had more money?
In all of the Bright City, he might not be the richest, but he was definitely in the top three!
She dared to compete with him in spending money?
Danniel dialed a number.
"Mr. Lucas, release everything you found earlier, and I want to call the police!"
As soon as Danniel finished speaking, Mr. Lucas didn't dare delay and immediately complied.
Since the other side was banking on Uber not being able to easily release customer video and audio, he, as the victim, could report to the police. The police would then release the investigation results, and at the appropriate time, they would also release all the audio to inform the public.
This was no longer up to Uber.
Although the video would be censored, it wouldn't significantly affect the outcome.
Originally, if the other side had honestly apologized to him, the driver, and Luna, this matter would have been over.

Afraid of missing a good deal, she quickly opened the chat, only to be left trembling.
"Who the hell leaked our group screenshots? Now the whole Bright City knows we're a fake socialite group! They're saying the six-star hotel photos and afternoon teas we posted on Facebook were all shared expenses! My Facebook is flooded with insults!"
"My Facebook is overrun too! Someone even posted comparison photos, showing that the hotel rooms and bags we shared were the same ones! Now the two rich guys I was stringing along are asking for their money back! I've already spent it all, so how am I supposed to pay them back?"
