Chapter 234 He Fell in Love with Luna
Luna's first reaction to the sudden grab was to pull her hand away.
But Charles's grip was strong, and she didn't succeed on the first try.

Luna warned Charles in a low voice, her eyes shooting daggers at him.

Charles attributed his sudden hand-holding to the rehearsal for tomorrow.

"You scared me! I thought you were serious!"

"Do we have to hold hands?"

"It's not that I can't. Just don't say I'm taking advantage of you. You sincerely helped Eric before, and I can't just treat you to a meal. I'll fully cooperate with you tomorrow."
When Luna agreed to something, she would do her best.
That was one of the things Charles admired about her.
Hearing her agreement, Charles's eyes lit up. For the first time, he found the Maple Leaf Manor Hotel's environment pleasing; it was no longer the mismatched place he once thought it was.
"By the way, I picked out a gift for you. See if you like it. If not, you can give it to someone else. I don't mind."
Luna handed the gift to Charles.
Charles opened the box to find a pair of exquisite cufflinks. He looked at Luna thoughtfully, "These need to be sewn on. I don't know how."
"That's not hard. I'll sew them on for you when we get back."
"Okay."
Charles had been waiting for Luna to say that.
In fact, he would have liked any gift Luna gave him.
"As long as you like it."
Luna also breathed a sigh of relief. After all, it was her first time giving a gift to a young man, and she had no confidence.
After eating, Luna got up to pour a glass of juice, and Charles suddenly received a call from Mike.
"Mr. Lee, Evelyn is here and heading towards the buffet."
Charles fell silent.
