Bobby hung up and reluctantly transferred $300 to Emily, feeling like he was cutting off a piece of himself. Turning around, Bobby saw Sophia coming and immediately handed her the carefully chosen diamond necklace.
Sophia opened it with a look of surprise, but seeing the diamond was only about 0.2 or 0.3 carats, she felt a bit let down. Still, she looked at Bobby with satisfaction and even scolded him for spending money recklessly on such an expensive gift.
Bobby's ego was thoroughly stroked. Bobby said, "It's not expensive at all. Spending over $2,000 on a gift for my baby is nothing. Here, let me put it on for you."

Sophia said, "Bobby, you gave me such an expensive gift, I don't even know how to repay you. Once Dianne's issue is resolved, I'll repay you properly."
Sophia said this while squeezing Bobby's hand. Bobby was instantly excited. Compared to the chubby and greasy Emily, Sophia, though the same age as Emily, looked much younger. Most importantly, Sophia spoke gently and had a simple personality. In Bobby's eyes, she wasn't as cold and uninteresting as Emily.
Bobby said, "Honey, I talked to several friends about Dianne's issue. I spent over $10,000 just to smooth things over. But the person Dianne offended has some serious backing."
"Oh, what should we do then?" Sophia's face turned pale upon hearing Bobby's words.
Bobby hurried to reassure her, "There's no need to worry. I've come up with a clever plan: we'll use media pressure to our advantage. Don't you have a neighborhood group?
