Even though she couldn't smile at the moment, Emily held back her tears and forced a smile in front of Danniel.
"Mr. Lee, could you please give me your bank account number? I'll transfer the money to you."
"Just get in the car first. I'll take you back."
Danniel didn't mention the money and instead motioned for Emily to get in the car.
"There's no need. It's easy to get a cab now. We can manage on our own. Please, just give me your bank account number."
As soon as Emily finished speaking, Tommy started to whimper and cry. After all this fuss, Tommy just wanted to lie down and sleep.
"The sooner you get home, the sooner the child can rest. Get in the car."
Danniel was doing this as a favor to Luna and Charles, allowing Emily and the child to get in the car.
Emily glanced at Tommy and, without insisting further, opened the car door and got in.
"Don't wait until the child is this sick to go out next time."
Inside the car, Danniel couldn't help but remind Emily.
Although he wasn't married, the Lee family always upheld the principle of being responsible and attentive parents, unlike Emily.
Emily bit her lip and said nothing. If she could, she wouldn't want to be in such a sorry state, but life was testing her.
The car started moving, and halfway through the journey, Tommy suddenly vomited.
When Tommy was getting an IV, Emily had bought some millet porridge for him at a convenience store. Tommy drank half of it, and Emily drank the rest. Maybe the car ride made him uncomfortable, so he threw up.
The car and Emily were now covered in Tommy's vomit.

Emily refused to get out of the car until Danniel accepted the cleaning fee.
Danniel waved his hand, looking even more impatient.

Danniel pulled up the payment code, and Emily immediately scanned it to pay.
She still had $500. She would repay the $2,500 she borrowed from Luna later.
But when she tried to transfer the money, it showed that her bank card didn't have enough funds.
Emily was stunned. She clearly remembered having over $700 in her account.
