Chapter 118 The Most Convincing Evidence Against Her
In the video Ella's neighbor leaked, Ella was lounging on the couch, legs crossed, looking all smug.
Ella gushed, "You know what? All the money Luna's given me over the past four years, I've saved it! With interest, it's now $22,000! I'm saving it to buy a car for my son!"
"As long as Eric lives at home, I just make sure he doesn't starve. Anyway, Luna always comes back on weekends to take him out to eat. About the lamb leg Luna bought before, I just used the bones to make soup for Eric and kept the meat to fry for Ethan."
"Luna really spends on Eric! She doesn't even blink at buying chocolate that costs over $15 a box, and she buys several boxes at a time!"
"Isn't it a waste for Eric to eat that? So I just take one or two pieces every day, save them up, and then find a new box to put them in, and have Travis take them to school for the teachers."
"Since Ethan loves seafood, I just bought two buckets for him to eat in his room, so Eric won't see! It's a waste for Eric to eat it! Such expensive stuff, he can't appreciate it."
Ella bragged, and the neighbor kept praising her for being smart and thrifty, and for having Luna and Eric under her thumb.
It seemed like the neighbor was intentionally guiding Ella to keep talking.
Ella didn't expect her neighbor would betray her, and she became more and more complacent as she spoke.
"I know Luna can't hold her liquor, so I'll find an opportunity to get her drunk at home and have her sleep with Ethan. Once that's done, won't she be even more under our control?"
"In the future, I'll ask her to give me her paycheck. Young people can't save money! With me holding it, giving her $30 a month for pocket money is enough. Let's see how she buys $15 a box chocolates then!"
"After saving for two years, plus the $22,000 from before, it'll be enough to buy Ethan a new car! We won't have to use the money Travis and I have saved!"
The neighbor remarked, "Oh Ella, you're really good at budgeting. Your son's car is bought with your niece's money and you don't even have to provide a house for the wedding. If Luna doesn't want to stay married in the future, you can just kick her out without any compensation!"
The neighbor followed up on Ella's words.
Ella smiled and said, "When your son gets married, you should do the same. Before the wedding, you can be nice to your daughter-in-law. After all, saying nice things doesn't cost money! Make sure she has no defenses against you, then you should pretend to play the victim, and ideally have her family provide a car or pay for renovations."
"Renovations couldn't be taken away after a divorce, and the car will be old by then and not worth much. It's best to buy it after the wedding, so you can split it in half!"
"As for jewelry, just say that giving cash is better, and you'll save the cash for them. You can give it to her all after she has a baby."
