Chapter 130 Are Our Good Days Coming?

Hearing Eric's words, James and Olivia exchanged glances and then looked at Charles together.

"Could Charles have changed? Are our good days finally here?" James muttered.

But then Charles shot them a glare, and they both shivered.

James thought, 'Charles is still that cold-faced devil! He hasn't changed a bit!'

Olivia thought, 'Charles's gentleness is all for Luna and Eric...'

They both concluded that their cousin Charles was still someone they couldn't mess with.

During dinner, a Prime steak was served.

Luna took a bite and quietly asked Charles, "This tastes exactly like the Prime steak you packed yesterday. Did you get it from the same supplier? I heard that some places, like Shabu Shabu Restaurants, have suppliers who sell directly at half the price."

Charles smiled softly, "Yeah, it's from the same supplier."

"I knew it," Luna smiled at him.

Her smile was bright and pure. Seeing her believe in him and smile so radiantly, Charles couldn't help but feel that even the taste of the Prime steak had become more delicious.

What Luna didn't know was that the Prime steak they had yesterday was packed by Mike from here before Charles got off work, and it was the deluxe version.

He had overheard Eric and Luna discussing in the living room about showcasing a gourmet dish in his comic, but Luna had never tasted Prime steak and couldn't draw it accurately.

Charles didn't buy it for Eric the next day because that would have been too obvious.

He knew that Luna and Eric had their pride and persistence, and he wasn't pitying them. He genuinely wanted to foster a good relationship with them during this month.

So he bought it a few days later along with some pig trotters.

Charles always felt that he just wanted to understand Luna and Eric's preferences to avoid any unnecessary conflict while living together. But he ignored the fact that he actually wanted to get closer to Luna's heart.

"Actually, I bought it for myself too. I didn't specifically buy it for you," Charles said casually, but his eyes were shining brightly.

Luna's smile was warm. "You still went to the trouble. Even if it's from a supplier, a Prime steak with so many ingredients isn't cheap. And yesterday, you only had a few bites. Eric and I ate the most."

Luna's voice was soft, but Charles found it very comforting.

Ashley Lee watched them whispering quietly, the atmosphere harmonious.

Especially Charles's attitude towards Luna, which showed no signs of distance or coldness. If it was an act, then his acting skills were top-notch.

Although Charles needed good acting skills to compete with those cunning and crafty veterans in the business world, he always kept his true intentions hidden

But in his personal life, he was much more straightforward and sharp.

If he didn't want to tolerate Luna, he wouldn't have insisted on not remarrying.

But Ashley just couldn't accept Luna becoming the daughter-in-law of the Lee family.

James and Olivia barely ate anything the whole night, just following the gossip.

Charles actually smiled at Luna!

Even though his smile was faint and almost negligible, it still stunned them!

Initially, they were reluctant to attend the dinner, fearing that Charles would inquire about their grades, a topic they were particularly insecure about. But he didn't have time to bother with them the whole evening.

This dinner was definitely worth it!

As long as Luna and Eric were around, they would dare to see Charles.

The dinner was peaceful and harmonious. Considering Eric's frail health, Charles suggested leaving early.

Luna stood up to say goodbye to everyone, and the others stood up as well, except for Ashley, who remained seated.
