Chapter 88 It Would Be Best to Kneel Down and Apologize
"Emily! I... I think you just don't want to live together anymore! If that's the case, let's get a divorce! This is my house! Get out!"
Bobby realized the situation and tried to use the threat of divorce to intimidate Emily.
He thought it would scare her, but Emily just let out a cold laugh.
"This house renovation has my money in it! If you want me to leave, give me back my money! Otherwise, I'll take away all the renovations! I'll even strip the walls! I mean it!"
With that, Emily turned and went back to her room, leaving the three of them dumbfounded.
David wanted to chase after her and argue, but Bobby stopped him.
"Dad, she's just being a shrew right now. We shouldn't stoop to her level! We'll end up losing!"
Bobby lost his appetite and got up to leave.
David muttered behind him, "How did you become so useless? You can't even handle a woman! Don't tell people I'm your father!"
David felt utterly humiliated because the three of them couldn't handle Emily.
If word got out, where would the Hill family's face go?
Bobby was getting annoyed by David's words.
"Dad, what do you want me to do? Would you be satisfied if someone got killed? Enough! I'm going out to eat!"
Bobby dialed Sophia's number as soon as he stepped outside.
But Sophia didn't sound as sweet and charming as usual. Her voice was hoarse.
"Bobby, Dianne is in trouble..." Sophia started crying as soon as she spoke.
Bobby was startled and quickly tried to comfort her, "Don't worry. Take your time and tell me what happened."
"Dianne got into trouble defending me and now she's locked up! Do you know anyone at the North District Police Station who can get him out?"
Sophia had already asked several people, all friends of Dianne, but they were only available for drinking and eating. When it came to helping, they made excuses.
Some even tried to take advantage of her!
Did they really think she, Sophia, would settle for any man?
"The North District Police Station, ..."
Bobby felt a bit regretful at this moment.
If he hadn't badmouthed Luna earlier, he could have asked Emily to talk to Luna and use that connection.
But now that was impossible.
"I'll see what I can do." Bobby comforted Sophia a bit more before hanging up.
When he got home that evening, he saw his parents at the door, with a locksmith standing outside.
"Dad, Mom, what are you doing? Did you lose the keys?" Bobby asked, puzzled.
"Do we have to lose the keys to change the locks? If you can't handle Emily, watch me! I changed the locks and threw her clothes out! Let's see how she gets back in!" David proudly explained his plan.
Taking advantage of Emily being out with the kids, he had gotten a new lock from a locksmith in the neighborhood.
It was just a scare tactic to make Emily apologize.
Ideally, she would kneel and apologize, and then he would give her a new key. He needed to teach her a lesson so she wouldn't dare to act out again!
He didn't want his son to get a divorce right now, especially since the grandson was still young!
At least Emily had raised the child to three or four years old and he could go to preschool. Then it wouldn't be too late to divorce.
They had to make full use of Emily first.
Bobby frowned at David's plan. He had a feeling that it wouldn't go as David planned.
After all, Emily had completely changed!
It probably started from the time he first hit her!
