Chapter 195 Couldn't Stand Such Behavior
Sandra knew Theodore always had his own way of doing things. She just watched from the sidelines but still shot a message to Charles, hoping him could brace himself.
Meanwhile, Luna had already reached out to the colleague in charge of this area. The mom of the kid causing all the trouble saw the chaos and tried to leave with her child. But the neighbors weren't having it. "Don't think you can just walk away! The elevator's busted and needs fixing. You think we're gonna cover the cost?"
"I always wondered why the elevator smelled like pee! Now I know! I thought it was some dog! Some parents can be really irresponsible."
"Can you stop blaming everything on dogs?"
"It's fair! Lots of people here walk their dogs without leashes, and the dogs poop everywhere."
"That's just a few. Most folks here are responsible."
As the dog owners and some residents started arguing, clearly getting off track, Luna signaled for everyone to calm down.
"Sir, you reported this. Can I ask you a few questions?" Luna's voice brought everyone's attention back to Theodore.
"Go ahead." Theodore's voice boomed.
Luna asked about the details and key moments Theodore had seen regarding the kid peeing in the elevator, staying professional and composed.
"What's your name?" Theodore asked, already knowing the answer. He recognized Luna the moment she showed up. He'd come here to get a closer look at her. He even bought a house in this community for that reason but didn't tell Charlie. He was just checking out the place today and stumbled upon the kid peeing in the elevator. Theodore couldn't stand such behavior and had to step in.
"I am Luna Brown," Luna replied calmly.
"I want to sue this kid's guardian," Theodore said, pointing at the kid's mom, his tone firm.
The kid's mom's face changed, and she looked at Theodore with disdain. To her, Theodore was just bored and had nothing better to do. He probably didn't even know where the courthouse was, and he wanted to sue her? He might not even live to see the trial!
"Sir, you have the right to sue. I'll record it according to procedure. If you need me to testify, I can help. Since you're older, if you need my assistance, just let me know."
Theodore was pleased with Luna's attitude. She'd passed his first test. He knew some people with steady jobs just wanted to avoid trouble and hoped for private settlements to lighten their load. But Luna wasn't like that. She wasn't afraid of trouble and handled things properly.
"Ma'am, my colleague will be here in less than ten minutes. Now, please give me your name and phone number," Theodore said.
The kid's mom started to get scared, realizing she was dealing with someone serious. She thought about how she had just moved here. If she got kicked out by the landlord because of this, she would be homeless.
The next moment, the kid's mom suddenly slapped her thigh and sat on the ground, crying hysterically. "I didn't want to say it, but now I have to. I'm so wronged. My child is so wronged. I'm having such a hard time. My child is so pitiful."
