Chapter 200 Idiot, Get Lost

Bobby saw Warren's silence and felt a rush of victory. "Come on, Warren," Bobby said, "you've been crushing on Luna forever and haven't made a move. Your lack of urgency is driving me nuts. I've been there, done that, and I can totally help you out. All I asked Luna for was a tiny favor. She might be too shy to help, but you're a guy, no need to overthink it. Help me out this time, and I'll help you get closer to Luna. Win-win, right?"

When Bobby got married, he noticed Warren's thing for Luna. Warren would always block drinks for her and drive her home, keeping other guys at bay. Warren only agreed to be the best man because Luna was the bridesmaid.

Warren was a bit taken aback when Bobby called him out, but he quickly regained his composure. "So, Bobby, what if I don't help you?" Warren asked, trying to gauge Bobby's real intentions.

Bobby's eyes darkened, but he put on a fake concerned look. "Warren, even though we didn't go to the same college, our schools were just across the street from each other. The wild stuff you did back then was pretty famous at our school. If Luna finds out about those things, do you think you still have a shot with her? Don't worry. Help me, and I'll make sure she never knows."

Warren smirked. "Idiot! Luna knows more than you think! You think you can blackmail me with those rumors? Get lost!" With that, Warren turned and got into his car, revving the engine and speeding off.

The exhaust fumes hit Bobby in the face. He coughed violently, and in the blink of an eye, Warren was gone. Bobby thought he had Warren figured out, but Warren wasn't afraid of Luna knowing about his past. Now his plan had fallen through. He had no idea how to explain this to Sophia.

At the Lee family home, Charles had planned to head back to Mountain Vista Gardens after his meeting, but Ashley called him back, saying she had something important to tell him.

When Charles returned, Ashley showed him some photos she had taken. "Luna seems quite popular," Ashley said sarcastically.

Charles looked at the photos, his face darkening. Ashley thought he was disappointed in Luna, but then Charles looked up at her seriously. "Mom, did you have someone follow and take pictures of Luna?" Charles asked.

"Yes, why shouldn't I?" Ashley replied. "She's now the daughter-in-law of the Lee family. Her every move represents the Lee Group. Even though your marriage is currently secret, if it ever gets out and someone uses these photos to blackmail us, isn't it better to be prepared?"

Ashley thought this was a common tactic among wealthy families. It was nothing to be surprised about. Although the Lee Group didn't rely on marriage alliances, they still needed to protect their interests.

"Mom, I've always gone along with how you raised me," Charles said. "But when it comes to matters of the heart, I want to make my own decisions. The Lee family has never married for profit! You wanted me to marry an ordinary girl you approved of because of your illness. I understand your persistence. If I didn't agree, you would constantly bring different potential matches to me. So I compromised because you're my mother. You almost died giving birth to me. I don't celebrate my birthday just because it's the day you suffered the most."

Charles continued, "You went through a lot while carrying me, bedridden for over a hundred days to keep me. So I'm willing to compromise for you. But Luna is not me."
