Chapter 125 The Hero Who Removed the Sputum Cup

The old man was already worn out, slumped in the chair and breathing heavily.

Even though he could breathe, the smell from the sputum cup was overpowering, and the air quality was terrible.

Luna had Ava Silva help the old man while she called another colleague to fan him.

She and Eric stood on either side. Eric checked the old man's condition while Luna tried to gently pull off the sputum cup.

Despite trying various angles, it remained stubbornly stuck on the old man's finger joint.

Colleagues outside threw in their two cents—some suggested soap water, others said to call the fire department. Luna noticed the stuck area wasn't that big, so she signaled Eric to keep the old man calm. Taking advantage of the distraction, she yanked hard, and the sputum cup finally came off.

The old man's finger was free at last!

Everyone outside let out a sigh of relief.

They all clapped for Luna.

Sandra Collins quipped, "Wow, the STF has never been this popular! Is this what it's like to hit the big time?"

Luna stayed quiet.

She hadn't expected folks from other busy departments to come watch her remove a sputum cup from an old man's finger after work.

Turns out, even the Major Crimes Unit, the Criminal Division, and the Vice Squad had a soft side.

The old man, feeling like a new person, was overjoyed.

He held Luna and Warren's hands, expressing his gratitude over and over again.

"I always say, when in trouble, find the police! I'll bring you a banner another day! It'll say 'Heroes of the Sputum Cup!'"

The old man was so excited he could say anything.

Ava helped him with the paperwork and signatures, while Luna's phone rang, but her hands were too greasy to answer.

Seeing this, Warren took the call and held the phone to her ear.

"Charles, I just handled a small case here. Give me five minutes."

Luna said as she walked towards the restroom, forgetting Warren was holding the phone.

"Warren, follow me," she said casually.

On the other end, Charles, who had been in a good mood, frowned slightly hearing Luna call Warren.

"I'm coming, Luna," Warren said deliberately, knowing Charles could hear.

"I'll wait for you at the station entrance," Charles's voice deepened.

"Okay, I'll come out after washing my hands."

After Luna finished speaking, she signaled Warren to hang up and went to wash her hands.

Before hanging up, Warren added, "Luna, I'll roll up your sleeves for you."

"No need, I'll do it myself. Just put the phone in my pocket."

"Alright."

Only then did Warren leisurely hang up.

He noticed Luna had changed Charles's contact name, adding his name after 'arrogant and picky.' Warren smirked, thinking Luna would never like someone like Charles.

They were from two completely different worlds.

At the station entrance, Charles hung up, his face expressionless.

There was a family dinner tonight, and he wouldn't argue with Luna now. Everything would be discussed after dinner.

After parking, he looked towards the station entrance. Five minutes later, Luna and Warren walked out together.

Warren said something that made Luna so mad she almost kicked him, but he dodged with a smile.

Luna's eyes were bright and clear, while Warren had a sunny, slightly roguish charm. At first glance, they seemed quite compatible.

But those familiar with Luna's past knew that Warren could never dispel the shadows in her heart and couldn't lead her out of her past.

At that moment, Warren spotted Charles's car. With a deliberate move, he casually placed his hand on Luna's shoulder, making sure Charles noticed.
