Chapter 82 What the Hell is Wrong With You?
After Charles finished talking, he handed two contracts to Luna.
Luna had a pounding headache and just wanted to get to the hospital to be with Eric, but she still took the agreements and skimmed through them.
She waved the agreements in front of Charles and sneered, "Mr. Lee! Should I get a witness over here too? That would be fair to me!"
Charles kept a businesslike attitude. "Sure!"
Luna laughed angrily. She was already in a bad mood, and now Charles had brought two agreements to disgust her!
She crumpled the agreements into a ball and threw them hard at Charles's face. The paper ball hit Charles on the bridge of his nose and bounced to the ground.
The room fell into a terrifying silence. Charles's face instantly darkened. He looked at Luna with anger.
Max was stunned. He thought to himself, 'Luna was really bold! She dared to throw the agreements at Mr. Lee! But she probably didn't know Mr. Lee's identity.'
Max wished he could turn invisible at that moment.
"Luna! What do you mean by this? If you think there's a problem with the agreements, you can bring it up! Why are you acting crazy?" Charles frowned, his eyes cold. He had never been hit in the face with documents before!
Luna pointed at the crumpled agreements on the ground, looking at him with a smile, but her eyes filled with disdain and pride. "Charles! I was grateful to you for giving Eric and me a place to stay, and I always insisted on splitting the bill with you! But do you really have to be so guarded against me?"
"What do you mean I have to meet your requirements before you'll consider continuing our marriage in a month?"
"What do you mean you decide when to make our marriage public, and if I disclose it privately, I have to move out immediately and bear the corresponding losses?"
"What do you mean even though we don't have a real marriage, I can't do anything that violates the marriage during that period?"
"Do I seem so restless in your eyes? Am I so greedy for your money? Do I so desperately want to announce to the world that I'm your wife?"
Luna was already in a bad mood, and Charles's inexplicable agreements had infuriated her, so she vented her anger at him. "Charles, if you don't trust me, go find Anna! I'm not serving you!"
When Luna mentioned Anna, Charles's face turned even uglier. If it weren't for Anna, he wouldn't have met Luna! He wouldn't have been hit in the face with documents!
Charles retorted, "Luna, this agreement is about us. Don't drag others into it! We agreed to continue living together, so what's wrong with signing a prenuptial agreement?"
"I don't want to make the marriage public and I don't want you going around talking about it after we divorce. What's wrong with that? If you don't think for yourself, at least think about Eric!"
"The requests I made are reasonable. I'll still cover the household expenses. I just need you to..."
"Don't mention Eric! He's not my burden! He's not your leverage to make me compromise!" Hearing Charles mention Eric, Luna couldn't take it anymore and interrupted him loudly. She grabbed a bunch of bananas from the table and threw them at Charles.
This time, Charles dodged, but his face looked even worse. Max, who had been silent the whole time, now wished he could turn invisible.
Luna ignored Charles and turned to Eric's room to pack. Charles thought she was going to move out again in a fit of anger and took long strides to stand at Eric's door.
But the next moment, seeing her only take a set of Eric's clothes and his medical records, Charles realized something was wrong. "What are you taking these for? Is Eric..."
"Move!" Luna, carrying a backpack, pushed past Charles and walked out.
