Chapter 90 Comtemplate Suicide
Bobby's parents originally wanted to teach Emily a lesson and let her experience what it was like being shut out of her own house.
Anyway, she wasn't that close to this family, and she wouldn't have the nerve to come back. In the end, she would still have to ask them to open the door.
Who knew Emily would go all out and smash the glass, yelling loud enough for the whole neighborhood to hear.
Most people who lived here knew them. Bobby's parents wished they could find a hole to crawl into now.
Bobby was also woken up by the noise. When he got up and saw the glass shards all over the balcony and heard what Emily was saying, he couldn't help but turn around and blame his parents.
"I told you this wouldn't work, but you didn't listen! Now you blew it. Are you happy? She's acting like a shrew and she's gone all out. But even if she doesn't care about her reputation, we still do!"
After Bobby finished speaking, he had no choice but to open the door for Emily.
Emily saw the door open from the balcony window, snorted, and turned around, pushing the stroller back.
The onlookers, seeing the show was over, dispersed while gossiping.
Bobby's parents were furious. One slumped on the ground for a long time, and the other stormed off, slamming the door.
Looking at the mess, Bobby knew he wasn't going to clean it up. He never did any chores at home.
So, Bobby grabbed his coat and went out to find Sophia.
He had an understanding and young backup, so why would he stay home and deal with Emily?
Emily went home, put the child down, and cleaned up the living room and balcony.
She didn't do this to please Bobby's parents. Their relationship had been completely severed since Bobby's first act of domestic violence.
She was concerned about Tommy, who was still young and had just learned to walk. Crawling around on the floor and getting hurt was unsafe.
Only she would think of this. Bobby and his parents didn't care at all.
After cleaning up, it was already the middle of the night. Emily sat by the bed, unable to sleep.
She was thinking about how to gather evidence for a divorce and how to help Luna get through. She only slept for a short while at dawn.
...
The president's office of the Lee Group.
Charles found that Luna's brother trended online after the morning meeting.
Seeing the time and place in the video, he quickly pieced together Luna's routine that day.
No wonder she didn't answer the phone all night. Because she had encountered some bizarre relatives, and Eric was sick. She was understandably on edge.
Charles took out his phone to ask Luna about the situation, but he hesitated when he saw her name on the screen.
He still felt he wasn't wrong!
Luna owed him an apology!
If he called Luna first, wouldn't that mean he was admitting defeat?
After some thought, Charles called Eric instead.
Eric's voice sounded tired and low. Knowing Luna wasn't home, Charles arranged some work and went home first.
When he got home, Eric was sitting in the living room, staring blankly, not even going to his favorite balcony.
"Have you had lunch?" Charles asked as he walked over and saw that Eric looked even paler than before, hesitating whether to take him to the hospital.
Eric shook his head. "I'm not hungry. Charles, there are some things I can't tell my sister, but can I tell you?"
Eric turned to look at him.
Although Charles usually seemed cold and strong, Eric could feel his inner integrity and purity, so at this moment, he wanted to confide in Charles.
Charles sat down and nodded at him. "Go ahead."
I've actually had three moments when I wanted to commit suicide. The time when my parents passed away, the time when my sister got pneumonia and didn't recover for a month because of me, and today.
After Eric finished speaking, he tried hard to force a pale smile at Charles.
