Chapter139 I'll Fight You to the End
"Luke!" Cassandra froze as she saw Luke tumble down the stairs.
Inside, Alice and Ella heard the noise and rushed out.
Luke's face was a mess, covered in blood. He'd hit his face, breaking one front tooth and losing the other.
In agony, Luke sat on the ground, clutching his face, unable to move.
"Help your brother up! Quick!" Alice urged.
"What did I do to deserve this? My poor son..." Alice wailed, pounding the floor.
Ella and Cassandra tried to help Luke, but he was too dazed to move.
"Luke, don't scare me! Say something! Where else does it hurt? Any broken bones?"
Cassandra was terrified, seeing Luke's swollen face and bloody mouth. She felt heartbroken.
"If you hadn't pulled me, this wouldn't have happened... You just had to stop me... My teeth..."
Luke, now lisping, started searching for his missing tooth.
Just as Cassandra was about to explain, Alice pointed at her and started cursing.
"When Luke was standing up for me, you had no right to stop him! You just can't stand him being good to me, can you? You want to drive a wedge between us!"
"Oh my God! What did we do to deserve you? My son was walking, and you pushed him down the stairs! Do you want me to bury my own child? You aiming to off Luke or something?"
"What did I ever do to you? I treated you like my own daughter, but you hate me this much? Why wasn't it me who fell? Why does Luke have to suffer? You wretch!"
Alice's wailing was filled with nasty curses.
Cassandra was stunned.
She was the youngest in her family, always pampered. Her parents were honest folks. Other than not being good at housework, she had no faults.
Cassandra had never encountered someone like Alice. She stood there, speechless.
And Luke, who should have defended her, was too busy searching for his tooth.
Tears welled up in Cassandra's eyes, and she finally ran off.
Ella, seeing neighbors coming out to watch, blushed with embarrassment and wanted to get Luke and Alice back inside quickly.
But then, a familiar figure passed by. Ignoring Luke and Alice, Ella rushed over.
"Helen Ives, stop right there! You shameless bitch! You've ruined me! I'm going to fight you!" Ella exclaimed.
The person Ella saw was indeed the neighbor from the previous video.
Helen had been away for two days and returned openly, not even trying to avoid anyone.
Seeing Ella rushing over, Helen immediately took out her phone to record.
Helen even had her daughter start a live stream.
"Ella! Listen up! I'm recording this and live streaming! If you touch me, I'll lie down right here, and you won't get out of this without paying a couple thousand dollars!"
"You're so stingy that you wouldn't even pay twenty bucks for the communal drain cleaning! Do you think you'll fork out a couple thousand dollars?"
