Chapter 232 You Are Being Too Impetuous.

Anna exaggerated her previous encounter when she told Sophia about it.

Sophia pondered for a moment and said, "Anna, you were too impulsive this time. How could you confront Luna head-on? You should have followed her secretly today, found out where she lives, and gathered more information before making a move. You are being too impetuous."

Sophia's words were like a wake-up call, and Anna instantly sobered up, stomping her foot in regret.

"Sophia, I wish you had been by my side earlier," Anna said, but it was too late to regret it now.

She had been so annoyed seeing Luna dressed so plainly yet daring to shop at a luxury store that she thought she could catch her off guard by showing up suddenly.

"Anna, I'm not having an easy time either. Dianne won't be out for a while, and I can't even see him. But there's a silver lining; I'm now staying at another one of Bobby's houses. Although the area is a bit desolate, the house is beautifully furnished. Bobby said I could stay as long as I want. By the way, are you free tonight? Let's meet up and chat."

Sophia invited Anna over as she spoke.

"Sophia, it's perfect timing because I'll be seeing Charles tomorrow, and the woman who got the marriage license with him will be there too. Help me come up with a plan tonight on how to deal with her tomorrow."

Anna had been a bit overexcited when she saw Luna earlier because she was about to see Charles the next day.

Anna thought that with her skills and Ashley's affection, she could definitely win over Charles. After all, Charles had no emotional foundation with the woman who mistakenly got the marriage license with him.

That's why she had recklessly provoked Luna.

"Alright, I'll be waiting for you. It's been a while since we last met."

Now that Sophia had a new place to stay, she wasn't as anxious as before. Her only worry was whether she would be sentenced after the car-scratching incident went to court.

But Bobby had assured her, saying he would spend whatever it took to keep her safe.

At the Maple Leaf Manor Hotel buffet restaurant, Luna arrived with a gift at the entrance, and Charles had been waiting for a while.

However, he had no complaints and was sitting there looking at some documents. Luna walked up and tapped him, and he finally noticed her.

"Mr. Lee, stop working, let's go."

Luna joked, waving her hand and smiling brightly.

The title "Mr. Lee" made Charles's heart skip a beat, and he felt as if he had been prematurely exposed.

Charles quickly adjusted his emotions, nodded, and stood up to follow her.

"Why did you choose to eat here?"

Charles asked, seemingly curious, as he watched her validate the buffet vouchers.

"It was Ms. Nelson who recommended it to me. I wanted to find a quiet and cost-effective buffet, and she suggested her family's buffet to me."

"She said that although this place isn't as spacious as the Harmony Haven Hotel's buffet and doesn't have as many varieties, it's quieter, with only a dozen or so tables, so it won't be noisy."

Luna thought that since it was her first time treating Charles to a meal, it had to be good but not chaotic; the environment was important.

Upon entering, she saw that it was indeed as Evelyn had described it: not many tables, quiet diners, and soft, soothing music—a perfect place for a relaxed meal and conversation.

Charles nodded, feeling relieved when he saw Luna choose the most secluded spot.

This place was considered the buffet of his rival's family. If anyone from the Lee Group or the Nelson Group found out, it would definitely be big news in Bright City's business circles.

Everyone knew he avoided Evelyn like the plague, and now he was dining at the Nelson family's Maple Leaf Manor Hotel. He wouldn't be able to explain himself no matter what.
