Chapter 143 Did You Get Scolded by Mr. Lee Today?
Luna hung up on Warren, went home, tidied up, and made a simple meal for Eric. Then, she got a call from the driver saying the pig trotters had been delivered.
Turns out, the passenger's family received them, not the passenger himself. Luna didn't care as long as they were delivered.
At the Lee family villa, the butler brought in two boxes of pig trotters and left them in the living room.
In the evening, Charles came home and immediately noticed the familiar-looking pig trotters. They looked just like the ones he bought for Luna. But since this brand was popular, it wasn't surprising his family had some too.
"Butler, whose are these?" Charles asked, feeling annoyed as the pig trotters reminded him of Luna.
The butler replied cautiously, "They're Mr. Danniel Lee's. He asked me to pick them up and leave them here."
"Danniel?" Charles frowned but didn't say more. He didn't think much about the ten boxes of pig trotters at Luna's home. Danniel had his own quirks and liked eating at casual places, so it wasn't odd for him to buy pig trotters.
"Mr. Lee, are you staying at the villa tonight?" the butler asked respectfully.
Charles, clearly in a bad mood, nodded. He'd had a headache all day at work and only came home because his grandfather wanted to play chess. Otherwise, he would've worked late at the office.
As soon as Charles left, everyone at the company relaxed. They asked each other, "Did you get scolded by Mr. Lee today? How many times?"
Late at night, at Emily's house, she replied to Luna on Facebook just as Bobby came home. Luna had asked to meet up tomorrow and bring Tommy to the park. Emily had a lot to discuss that wasn't suitable for a phone call.
Bobby came home drunk, kicked off his shoes, and tossed his coat aside, expecting Emily to clean up after him. He thought, 'Isn't a woman supposed to serve a man? Otherwise, why get married?'
Bobby didn't even check on Tommy, thinking a one-year-old child was too much trouble. He never helped with the baby, claiming he didn't know how to hold him and was afraid of dropping him. Later, he said the baby didn't want to be with him. He figured he could bond with his son when he was older.
As Bobby passed through the living room, he saw toys everywhere and grumbled, "Emily, you stay home and skip the chores! Who do you think you are, a princess or something?"
He then went to the study and fell asleep.
Inside, Emily listened to his complaints. What did he mean she skip the chores? Did he ever help with the baby or chores?
But now wasn't the time to argue. She needed to wait until he fell asleep to check his phone's transaction records.
