Chapter 170 He Was Thinking Only of Sophia
Seeing Bobby's worried look, Sophia cried even harder.
"What about Dianne? We've been there for each other for years. He got into trouble because of me."
"Bobby, I know you care about me. I was thinking about spending time together, but we need to sort out Dianne's issue first."
Sophia hinted she wanted to sleep with Bobby.
Bobby's eyes lit up with excitement.
Sophia always put on a facade of innocence and purity when she was around Bobby. She thought he was easy to manipulate and rich.
She heard Bobby owned a house in a good school district and a villa in the suburbs. After years of playing around, she wanted to settle down quickly, especially with someone like Bobby, who was young and an executive at a Fortune 500 company. Even though he was married, she was a pro at breaking up couples.
What Sophia didn't know was that the Bobby she heard about wasn't the one in front of her. He just had the same name and was around the same age.
"Don't worry, baby. I'll handle Dianne's issue. I know someone at the city bureau. I'll get your brother out, no matter the cost."
Bobby said, holding Sophia's hand and gently rubbing it.
Sophia needed his help, so she let him take advantage.
Later, in the car, she kissed and hugged Bobby, giving him sweet moments but made it clear she'd only sleep with him once Dianne's issue was resolved.
Bobby was now head over heels, thinking only of Sophia, who was young, beautiful, and sophisticated.
He decided to go to the city office to seek Luna's help. He'd appeal to Emily's emotions, admit his faults, and hope Luna would be lenient. If that didn't work, he could offer Luna some benefits since Eric needed money for his illness.
At Mountain Vista Gardens, Luna had no idea people were plotting behind her back.
Early Saturday morning, Luna got up to make breakfast for Eric and Charles.
Since it was colder, she made oatmeal, grilled shrimp, a salad, and sliced cherry tomatoes.
Charles and Eric arrived at the table on time. Seeing the spread, Charles said, "You don't have to make such an elaborate breakfast. We can get takeout from HarmonyHaven Hotel."
Charles worried Luna was overworking herself since she also worked every day.
Even Charles, who usually got up at six, would sleep in until after seven on weekends if he wasn't working.
Luna wasn't on the same page as Charles. She believed in living within one's means and thought constantly ordering takeout was a waste of money.
Her biggest worry was getting into a bad habit. If she and Eric got accustomed to eating lavish meals, they'd feel a significant drop when it all came to a halt.
She gently said, "Except for the shrimp, the other ingredients cost less than twenty dollars. Takeout from HarmonyHaven Hotel would cost hundreds. I enjoy doing this; it's like a hobby."
Luna was honest and didn't bother to boast about her own achievements or efforts.
Charles took a sip of the oatmeal, which was perfectly sweet and sticky. The grilled shrimp was crispy outside and juicy inside.
Eric's first bite burst with juice, splattering the table.
He got warning glares from both Luna and Charles.
Eric cleaned up, and Luna and Charles exchanged a smile.
Charles realized he had misunderstood Luna. He thought she was pretentious, but maybe it was him who was.
As Charles enjoyed his breakfast, Max called.
While on the phone, he kept glancing at Luna, making her feel the call was about her.
After hanging up, Charles's face turned even darker and more serious.
