Chapter 59 Didn't Mean to Ruin Your Relationship
Warren felt he was wronged.
He heard Bobby was interested in Summer and intervened, never expecting Bobby's audacity. After failing with Summer, Bobby promptly shifted his focus to Emily.
"It seems Emily doesn't know about what Warren said, otherwise she wouldn't have started with Bobby."
Luna sighed lightly.
They understood Emily's personality well and she didn't like getting involved in such messy situations.
Everything seemed to be predestined.
"Emily grew up with her grandparents as her parents were busy working away, neglecting her needs. Due to the traditional preference for boys, she frequently yielded to her cousin in most matters."
"Growing up in such an environment, a girl would either become introverted and self-abased or rebellious. Emily was the latter."
"By the time her parents noticed her rebellious nature and communication barriers stemming from their neglect, they had already missed out on her formative years, when she craved companionship the most.."
"What Emily longed for in a relationship was someone who cared about her, someone whose eyes lit up when they saw her. During college, her relationship with her parents was so cold that they wouldn't even call each other for a month. It was during this time that Bobby appeared."
”Luckily, despite Emily's yearning for care and understanding, a phase of blindly seeking it, she snapped out of it at a crucial juncture.."
Summer's analysis of Emily left Luna and Warren convinced.
After all, Summer had studied psychology abroad for a year, completing a two-year course in just one year. She was considered a professional in this field.
"I think the Hill family is temporarily scared off by Emily and they won't bother her for a while. However, it won't be easy for Emily to get that money back. Let's see if we can help her later."
After Summer finished speaking, she parked the car by the roadside.
It was only then that Luna realized she got home.
She had phoned Sandra beforehand, informing her of her delayed arrival to pick up Eric. Sandra kept it brief, even allowing Eric to have a chat with her over the phone.
"Luna, I haven't seen Eric in a long time either. How about I get out of the car with you?"
Warren said, wanting to take the opportunity to be alone with Luna.
"It's late. Luna is picking up Eric and heading straight home. Since her husband is already there, what more is there for you to pursue?"
Before Luna could refuse, Summer had already blocked for her.
Luna smiled, waved goodbye to them, and got out of the car.
Summer turned the car around and saw Warren still looking in the direction Luna had left, his eyes full of loneliness.
Although Warren knew that Luna and her husband were just living together and not really a couple, the thought of them living under the same roof still made him insanely jealous.
Summer wanted to be frank with Warren but she thought it would be better to find a time to sit down and talk to him alone. Seeing him like this, she thought he was deeply involved.
Luna went to the cafe to pick up Eric and called Charles to ask what time he would be back in the evening.
When the call connected, a soft, sultry female voice came from the other end.
"Hello, who is this?"
Why did this voice sound familiar?
Luna cleared her throat and said, "Isn't this Charles's phone? I have something to talk to him about."
Luna asked out of curiosity, but the woman on the other end hurriedly explained, sounding almost on the verge of tears.
"Hey, just to clarify, I didn't mean to intrude on Charles's privacy by picking up his phone. It simply resembles mine, causing the mix-up. No harm intended. Let's avoid any misunderstandings and keep things smooth between us.."
Luna was silent.
