Chapter 104 Are We not Being Harsh Enough?
Luna's attitude towards Warren made Charles feel somewhat satisfied. After hanging up, Luna signaled to Charles that he could start washing the vegetables.
The fish came in a vacuum-sealed bag with water, and when taken out, they were still lively and jumping.
Charles had no idea how to kill a fish. He thought she'd either smash it to death or knock it out with a kitchen knife. To his surprise, she handled the fish quickly and without hesitation.
Charles watched in astonishment as the once lively fish now lay limp on the cutting board.
Her fish-killing skills really blew his mind.
Seeing Charles staring, Luna felt a bit embarrassed and explained, "We had dissection classes in school, so I know where the fish's nerves are."
As she spoke, she was already cutting the fish into pieces and chopping the bones.
The fish bones and head were perfect for making soup, while the fish pieces got a coating of flour.
Lamb chops and garlic were roasted together with butter.
After the meal was served, Eric sensibly brought the utensils.
Charles took a bite of the fish and chips. The fresh blackfish was tender and delicious, with no fishy smell.
Charles, who typically had a small dinner dinner, had been drinking a bowl of soup and eating half more than his usual appetite almost every night since living with Luna.
After dinner, he made an excuse that he had eaten too much and needed some exercise, so he volunteered to wash the dishes.
Luna didn't stop him. Eric helped with the cleanup, she swept and mopped the floor, and Charles washed the dishes in the kitchen.
The three of them each did their part, chatting occasionally, creating a harmonious atmosphere.
Seeing this, Eric wished they could live like this forever.
In fact, if it weren't for him being a burden, Luna might have already found such a life.
At Alice's house.
Although Ella was scolded by Summer over the phone, she felt better seeing more and more people online criticizing Luna.
"What's so great about that Summer! She thinks she's all that just because her dad is a biologist? Ungrateful! What she's doing is harming Luna!" Ella cursed angrily.
Opposite her, Lisa Brown handed an apple to Alice with a fawning smile.
"Mom, I did a great job this time, didn't I? It was my idea to expose Luna and Eric's phone numbers! Now the internet is full of posts digging into their lives!" Lisa chimed in.
She had also joined in to deal with Luna and Eric, having long forgotten the time when Luna's father lent her money to get through a tough period.
Alice glanced at her phone, a bit anxious. "It's been two days, and that little brat still hasn't called to apologize! Are we not being harsh enough?"
"Mom, it's enough! We've already exposed their phone numbers. Many people online are trying to find out where she's living now, but all the addresses they've found so far are fake." Ella replied, she felt a bit regretful that she still didn't know Luna's current address.
"Those netizens are usually very capable, right? They can dig up someone's entire background in a day! It's been two days already, and we can't even find an address! Moreover, as soon as Luna and Eric's specific information came out, it was deleted. Did she pay someone off?"
Lisa found it suspicious.
Lisa felt that someone was helping Luna behind the scenes, working against them.
