Chapter 81 Apologize? Who Do You Think You Are!
As soon as Luna showed up, Ella and Alice were in trouble. Luna had chat screenshots and transfer evidence.
Alice started her usual drama, crying and yelling that Eric's wheelchair had run over her leg.
Ella questioned, "Luna! Alice is in this state and you're still upsetting her? Don't you have any sympathy for the elderly? She's the grandmother who watched you grow up!"
"We can't reason with you! Alice is old and she can't take this! You can live with whoever you want outside! We won't care about you anymore! I'm afraid you'll anger grandma to death!"
Ella, worried Luna would spill more family secrets, tried to leave, dragging Alice along.
"Stop! Who gave you permission to leave? You hurt Eric and now you want to go? Apologize!" Luna's tone was firm.
"Apologize? Why should I listen to you? Who do you think you are!" Ella spat back and tried to leave.
Just as Luna was about to stop her, Eric suddenly fainted.
"Eric!"
"Eric, wake up! I'm here! It's okay! I'm here!"
"Eric, don't scare me."
Luna turned to take care of Eric. Ella and Alice took the chance to run away.
They knew Luna meant business. If they stayed, she'd definitely call the cops.
Luna couldn't worry about making them apologize right now. She called a doctor she knew. Luckily, Eric woke up after a bit, but he was in bad shape.
Luna didn't wait for Charles to pick them up. She pushed Eric straight to the hospital.
After a bunch of tests, it was already past ten at night.
When Luna went to pay the bill, she realized her phone was dead.
She found a power bank and started charging. Just then, Charles called.
"Luna! Why are you only answering now?"
Charles sounded serious.
Luna took a deep breath, deciding to tell him everything when she got home. She kept it short.
"My phone died. I'll be home in half an hour." She hung up, not in the mood to say more.
Eric needed to stay in the hospital for a day, so she had to go back to get clothes for him.
Dragging her tired body home, Luna found Charles with a stranger.
"Luna, this is Max." He introduced.
Charles was annoyed Luna came back so late without explaining, but he held back in front of Max.
"Hello, Ms. Brown." Max stood up to greet Luna.
Luna greeted Max and then turned to Charles, her voice hoarse, "Sorry, I didn't know you had a guest. I have some things to take care of, so I can't entertain you."
Luna hurriedly grabbed the clothes. With Max there, she couldn't talk about Eric.
"Where's Eric? Why are you alone?"
Charles noticed Luna looked tired and was curious about where she had been.
"He's at my friend's place. He'll be staying there tonight."
As Luna finished speaking and was about to go to Eric's room, Charles stopped her.
"Since Eric isn't here, it's a good time for us to talk! I know it's late, but it's because you didn't answer your phone and came back so late. I originally wanted to discuss this with you around seven or eight!"
"This is a prenuptial agreement and a one-month cohabitation contract. If you have no issues, sign it. Max is the witness for this contract."
