Chapter 38 Do You Have Friends?
The butler's words touched Charles.
He had indeed overlooked the fact that it was also Luna's first time getting married and falling in love.
'Who would choose to live under someone else's roof and watch their brother suffer without being able to provide the best care?'Charles considered.
"Do I really have to apologize?" Charles rubbed his temples.
He had never apologized to a woman before.
Because the female elders in his family never had conflicts with him.
His two younger cousins were still young and very perceptive. They were even a bit afraid of him, behaving properly whenever they encountered him. They also disliked conversing with him.
So, he really didn't know how to apologize to a woman.
"Butler, how can I apologize without saying it directly?"
The butler couldn't answer such a difficult question right away as hedidn't expect Mr. Lee to give him such a challenging problem.
After thinking for a moment, he reluctantly said, "Mr. Lee, you could convey the message through others."
The butler wasn't sure if this method would work.
Charles suddenly thought of Eric.
Eric might think, ’ Am I just a doormat nota patient?‘
Around noon, Charles returned to Mountain Vista Gardens.
As soon as he went upstairs, he saw Warren Blackwood's coat still lying on the floor where he had thrown it before leaving.
That meant Luna hadn't gone out yet.
The house across the hall was empty, so they were the only ones on this floor.
When he opened the door and went inside, Luna was on the phone in the bedroom. Seeing him, she paused, then got up to close the bedroom door and continued her call.
Eric was sunbathing on the balcony. Catching a glimpse of him, he whispered, "Charles, my grandma and aunt affray in the police station . They insisted on seeing my sister but were turned away by Luna's boss.”
“But Luna is worried they might cause trouble again, so she's consulting with a lawyer friend."
After Eric finished speaking, Charles frowned.
Her troublesome relatives really couldn't stay out of trouble for a moment.
"I know a few lawyers, so I can help you."
Charles was objective. If it wasn't Luna's fault, he would help out.
Eric shook his head and said, "No need. Luna doesn't want to take advantage of you when she's not mad at you, let alone now."
Charles was speechless.
He then opened his phone and handed it to Eric.
"Eric, do you like this drawing board? It's the latest multifunctional model, adjustable at various angles."
Charles showed Eric a picture of a drawing board.
Eric's eyes lit up.
Charles continued, "Then would you please persuade your sister?"
Eric was confused at this moment.
"Charles, you're bribing me! I have evidence!"
Charles remained calm despite being exposed by Eric.
After all, he handled billion-dollar projects daily. If he lacked this level of self-control, his opponents would have seen through him long ago.
"Eric, I don't want you guys to end up on the streets out of spite."Charles bent down, patted Eric's shoulder, and spoke calmly.
But Eric didn't play by the rules.
"Charles, so you recognized you were wrong last night?"
Charles was silent.
‘There's no way around this topic, is there?’Charles thought.
"And Luna, wasn't she wrong too?" Charles retorted.
Eric sighed, "Alright, I won't argue with you about this. I'll give you an out."
Charles was about to say something when Luna hung up and walked out of the room.
Seeing Charles, Luna was about to say she was leaving when Eric wheeled himself over and spoke first.
"Sis, Charles has something to say to you."
Charles was muffled and thought,' Is I just tricked by Eric?'
