Chapter 106 About the Past

"Totally! Once the Lumina Vitae Foundation takes off, we can even open branches," Adeline said, fixing the grey hair by Summer's temples. "You've always wanted to go to Zelphoria, right? We could open a store there."

Summer chuckled. "Adeline, you think just anyone can open a store in Zelphoria? That's the capital! But I love your big dreams."

She had spent most of her life being too stubborn and not really getting people. Now, she was old, jobless, her legs were shot, and she didn't even hold the title of the medical family anymore.

She used to wonder about it while sitting in this small courtyard.

If she could do it all over again, what would she change?

There was no need to think about that now. With Adeline and Robert around, she could still practice medicine and help people.

These days felt more hopeful than ever!

"I better take good care of my health," Summer said cheerfully.

Summer stayed up later than usual tonight. She even pulled out her old medical certificates and banners, hanging them in the front hall.

It wasn't until Robert couldn't stop yawning that Summer finally went to bed.

Adeline came out of the room, and Robert perked up, gesturing, "I'm ready. Let's head to Zelphoria now and take down the Jones family. Let's see how smug Angela is then!"

"Let's open the store first. Grandma's happiness doesn't depend on them," Adeline said, brushing a flower petal off her shoulder with a cool smile. "We'll get to Zelphoria eventually; no rush."

Robert nodded obediently.

Adeline picked up the laptop he had put together. "Let's get started. Keep it quiet so we don't wake Grandma."

Robert got to work, setting up equipment and installing the household appliances Charles had sent in the right spots.

There were small cameras every thirty feet around the clinic.

It was clear Robert was the one doing the heavy lifting in this household.

Adeline sat on a wooden chair, her fingers flying over the keyboard, busy with something.

When Robert finished, she looked up at the screen. "Not bad; you can come down now."

Robert jumped down from the tree, landing silently but still excited, following Adeline with his hands constantly gesturing.

"In a hurry?" Adeline's lips curved slightly. "Alright, we'll start tomorrow. Get your payment QR code ready."

Robert nodded, eyes full of excitement!

Adeline said casually, "I'll introduce you to some new colleagues. One of them is someone you know."

Robert tilted his head.

Adeline stopped walking. "How much do you remember about the past?"

Robert looked confused, trying to think, but it made his head hurt. He hugged his head in pain.

Adeline bent down, patting his head. "If you can't remember, it's okay."

Robert brightened up immediately, working with a sandwich in his mouth.

The payment QR code had to be as big as possible!

He would hang it on himself and move it wherever needed!

The night passed quietly, and no one knew how Adeline would open the witch doctor clinic.
