Chapter 24 Deep Regret
Sara saw Alexander waking up and sneered. Even if the patient was saved, so what?
An old person from the countryside was not useful, and could even be a burden.
Thinking this, Sara felt balanced in her heart.
Meanwhile, Aaron Taylor and Brian Gonzalez arrived together in the VIP exclusive elevator at Eldoria Medical University Affiliated Hospital. They looked at Charles standing in the center with reverence, their hearts trembling.
Charles, dressed in a well-fitted suit, had a pale complexion that made him appear both noble and fragile, but no one dared to see him as a patient.
Because the dangerous aura in his eyes was impossible to ignore.
When Charles stepped into the elevator, the atmosphere around him instantly solidified. "Tell me."
Aaron, sweating on his forehead, nervously said, "Mr. Livingston, rest assured. Ms. Cooper is an expert representing the highest medical standards of Eldoria Medical University Affiliated Hospital. There's absolutely no problem with Alexander being treated by her!"
Charles rotated the beads on his wrist, raising an eyebrow slightly. "Is that so? But what you said doesn't quite match what I know."
"Mr. Livingston, we did not deceive you," Brian stammered. "We absolutely wouldn't dare delay Alexander's treatment; after all, he is from the Vanderbilt family!"
Charles remained silent, his tall figure standing there, waiting for the elevator to reach the 6th floor.
His presencewas so imposing that Aaron's legs were already starting to weaken.
The elevator finally arrived, but Charles signaled for them to go out first!
As soon as Aaron reached the consultation room, he was shocked that Sara was actually in the observation room. Shouldn't she be treating Alexander right now?
Charles also stepped out of the elevator, his gaze falling on Adeline, who was finishing up in the emergency room. He asked coldly, "Wasn't Ms. Cooper supposed to be the chief surgeon? Who is she?"
She wore a mask and a hat, her movement precise and skilled, but one could tell her age just by looking at her eyes.
Brian wiped his sweat, flustered and at a loss.
How was he supposed to know who Adeline was!
Aaron, burning with anger, just wanted to find a scapegoat. He grabbed Sara and questioned her in a trembling voice, "Ms. Cooper, why aren't you in the emergency room? Why did you let a young girl treat the patient?"
Sara saw Aaron coming and thought her support had arrived. She said gloatingly, "Mr. Taylor, I was just about to report to you. Xavier was too reckless. The patient's family hadn't signed the consent form, yet he let an outsider treat the patient!"
Aaron didn't want to hear this nonsense and loudly questioned, "Why weren't you in the emergency room?"
Sara, indifferent and undisguised in her contempt, said, "The family hadn't signed the consent form, and this is a common case. There's no need for me to personally operate."
Her dismissive tone infuriated Aaron to the extreme. "A common case? You call this a common case? Sara, are you out of your mind? That's Alexander, who is belong to the Vanderbilt Family from Zelphoria!"
Sara understood every word, but when combined, it was like a bomb exploding, making her dizzy and causing her to sit directly on the ground.
"How is that possible?"
Aaron, burning with anger, said, "Why not? You missed the chance to save an important person!"
Sara regretted it immensely after hearing this!
She looked towards the emergency room! She had missed such a good opportunity to connect with the Vanderbilt family, and Adeline had taken the lead, replacing her!
If Sara had saved Alexander herself, the crisis of the Zephyrox Alliance could have been averted!
As Sara regretted, she suddenly had a stroke and collapsed.
Aaron had no interest in looking at her anymore and had the nurse carry her out!
In the emergency room, Adeline, having finished the treatment, wiped her hands and glanced out the window.
Charles was standing there. From just now, Adeline had felt his gaze.
Perhaps it was Adeline's persistent gaze that made Charles raise an eyebrow and slightly turn his head. The two's eyes quietly met.
