Chapter 96 Looking for Death Again
Jade stomped her foot hard. "She's so full of herself! If she doesn't wanna help, whatever! Does she really think she's something?"
Holly frowned, gripping her arm tighter. "Jade."
Jade looked a bit scared and mumbled, "She's being so ungrateful. You apologized in front of everyone, and she still didn't care."
"You're the ungrateful one!" Adeline had left, and Nathan couldn't hold back anymore. "Anyone who wants to be the manager can have it! I'm done! Calling a doctor when there's no illness, isn't that just messing with people?"
Holly's eyes showed a flicker of emotion. "Nathan, chill out. It's not worth it over a doctor."
"Not worth it? Do you even know how much Mr. Vanderbilt values her?" Nathan's face turned serious. "You should talk to him yourself. Adeline is serious If she says she won't treat, she won't treat."
"Nathan, aren't you blowing this out of proportion?" Jade scoffed. "So what if she won't treat? Eldoria is my hometown, and I know plenty of famous doctors. If she won't treat, others will."
Nathan couldn't be bothered to argue anymore and turned to leave.
"Nathan..." Holly's face suddenly went pale, and she seemed to struggle to breathe.
"Ms. Vanderbilt!" Jade quickly took out a spray and supported Holly.
Nathan couldn't leave now; he was responsible for her, and if something went wrong, Alexander would definitely hold him accountable.
Holly lowered her eyes, her eyelashes trembling. "Jade, you have to apologize to the doctor next time you see her!"
"I..." Jade was reluctant, but she got Holly's point and gritted her teeth. "Fine, I'll apologize."
Holly looked at Nathan. "Nathan..."
Everyone around praised Holly for her grace.
Even if it was the Jade's fault and had nothing to do with her, she was still so dedicated.
In this situation, Nathan couldn't say much more and just glared at Jade.
Jade appeared to comply, but in reality, she was thinking about finding a famous doctor to put Nathan in his place. After all, he was just a manager, and he dared to meddle in Holly's affairs.
Jade's eyes shifted; the Jones family was in Eldoria, and contacting them wouldn't be hard.
Meanwhile, the folks in the restaurant couldn't see any of this.
They were still hanging out, having afternoon tea.
Angela was trying to please everyone.
Bethany Williams found her annoying and looked out the window, smiling. "Mrs. Martinez, isn't that your former daughter Adeline?"
Angela followed Bethany's gaze and saw Adeline walking out of the hotel.
Adeline always embarrassed her!
Angela took a deep breath. "You're behind on the news. That's a fake; Stella is my real daughter."
Bethany pursed her lips and said nothing, the mockery on her face clear.
Angela's anger grew, and she excused herself to touch up her makeup. Then, she made a phone call. "Haven't you finished what I asked you to do? She often goes around alone; how could you not have had a chance?"
