Chapter 81 Ideological Struggle

Summer, leaning on her cane, got up and said, "I need to really think about reopening the Lumina Vitae Foundation."

Adeline chuckled. "Grandma, no need to rush. The more good doctors we have, the fewer bad ones there'll be. Right?"

Summer paused. "You're right. I've lived so long and still don't see things as clearly as you do."

Adeline didn't push her to decide right away, giving her time to mull it over.

For a doctor who truly wanted to save lives, the idea of causing harm was a tough pill to swallow.

Robert got what Adeline was aiming for. Late at night, after Summer went to bed, he put together a small laptop from what looked like a pile of junk.

The dog outside barked but went quiet when Robert glanced its way, then curled up and shivered.

Vanessa from next door had seen Robert with this gadget before and thought it was a toy.

But under Adeline's guidance, Robert could turn it into a laptop or a drone, depending on the parts and how he put it together.

Adeline watched as he finally pinpointed the location and raised an eyebrow. "The people who framed Grandma aren't in Eldoria but in Zelphoria?"

Robert nodded emphatically.

Adeline stood under the tree.

"Zelphoria, it's been a while since I've been back."

Her expression was calm. "No rush. Let's wait until Grandma reopens the Lumina Vitae Foundation."

Robert brought out a rocking chair and a stone stool, sat in the yard, and gestured. "You want Grandma to regain her confidence in medicine?"

Adeline sat in the rocking chair. "It's not just for her."

Robert, sitting on the stone stool and munching on a reishi mushroom, looked up nonchalantly. "What else?"

"You should go to school," Adeline said calmly. "And you need to dye your hair. Haven't you noticed it's turning white?"

Robert was shocked, sitting up straight and dropping the mushroom.

Adeline's tone was steady. "There's no work here for you. If we really reopen the Lumina Vitae Foundation, you'd be considered child labor. If we get caught, the foundation will be shut down. Without our family, where will you get food and drink? Besides, what eleven-year-old doesn't go to school?"

Robert looked utterly dejected, clearly hating the idea of school.

Adeline looked at him. "We also need to sort out your identity. I'm worried you'll scare the teachers in Eldoria. Zelphoria is more suitable for you."

Robert's eyes lit up!

Adeline looked away and tossed a black bag to him. "Let's get to work."

Robert nodded and grabbed a small shovel.

Adeline's slender figure under the bright moonlight seemed to be bathed in a halo, her face extraordinarily beautiful.

Robert followed behind her, his small frame carrying a large black bag, his eyes wide and bright.

Who would imagine that this ordinary-looking girl and an eleven-year-old boy had such extraordinary identities?

Under the cover of night, they set out. Their destination was the deep mountains of Eldoria.
