Chapter 210 Saving the Company
Angela was still waiting for her family to come and rescue her. She kept staring at the prison gate, hoping for a miracle.
Until her case was officially classified, Henry was only allowed to see her under supervision.
Saving Angela was impossible now; even Henry himself was struggling to stay afloat.
Only Angela still couldn't see the situation clearly. Gripping the iron bars, she screamed, "Henry, you have to get me the best lawyer. I won't accept this!"
Henry, with stubble on his face, told her to calm down.
Angela stubbornly replied, "How can I calm down? I'm the one who's about to be sentenced!"
Henry lowered his voice. "What else do you want? Mr. Miller is among those who got caught!"
"Keep reporting it, say that Summer has caused deaths." Angela was hysterical. "It's the truth!"
Henry wished he could cover her mouth. "Say less."
"Why should I say less? Even if I'm unlucky, they won't get away with it either." Angela sneered. "The netizens won't let them off. The Lumina Vitae Foundation's reputation is already ruined!"
Henry roared, "It's not the Lumina Vitae Foundation that's ruined, it's us! Do you know what people are saying about you and me online? You, a homewrecker, and me, a scumbag!"
Angela was stunned. "What do you mean?"
"Luke from Nine Entertainment Company got caught. Everything you did has been exposed by netizens," Henry said, holding his head in pain. "I told you not to go too far, but you didn't listen. Now, everything is gone."
Hearing this, Angela panicked.
She couldn't even hear what Henry said next.
Nine Entertainment Company had always been one of the most valued companies by the Jones family.
Angela had been so confident because, in her mind, no one could touch Nine Entertainment Company. Even Jesse had to consider the pressure from Zelphoria.
But now, even Nine Entertainment Company couldn't be saved?
Angela gripped the iron bars tightly. "Contact the Jones family. They will definitely..."
"It's no use." Henry looked at her. "I consulted a lawyer. The only thing we can do now is to beg Adeline for forgiveness. That way, you might get a reduced sentence."
Angela screamed, "You want me to beg Adeline! You might as well kill me!"
"If you won't go, I will." Henry's eyes were bloodshot. "I have to save the company."
With that, he stood up and didn't even look back.
Angela shouted desperately, "Henry, you can't leave me! Henry!"
Henry wished he had never married her. How could he not cut ties with her now?
As the door closed and darkness enveloped her, Angela gradually understood what Henry meant.
She panicked and tried to comfort herself that it was okay.
Stella would definitely come to save her once she knew about this.
She couldn't handle Adeline, but Stella definitely could.
Stella was a top student; she would surely have a way!
Angela, with disheveled hair, muttered to herself, clearly showing signs of mental instability.
After providing the evidence of Nine Entertainment Company's crimes, Adeline immediately called Jason.
"The Martinez Group can wrap things up now."
Adeline bit into a fruit candy, her voice calm.
Jason, however, was unusually excited. "This will probably bankrupt Henry."
