Nicholas grinned. "You're doing the public a solid; no need to sweat the small stuff."
He shook his head. "Never thought folks in a sleepy place like Eldoria would stir up such chaos; it's just plain reckless!"
Nicholas's eyes scanned the room. "It's downright scary."
The leader, all respectful, said, "With all your experience, is there anything that still rattles you?"
"Doctors without a heart are a nightmare for us patients' families," Nicholas said, still fired up.
The leader seemed to recall something and hesitated. "Nicholas, let's push this seminar to another day."
He spoke low and vague.
But Nicholas got it, his face steady.
The unit came in quick and left just as fast.
Only after the cops bailed did folks in the hall start talking.
"The Cooper family is straight-up heartless!"
"How could they scam the elderly, women, and kids? They're all human beings!"
The outrage kept bubbling up.

Oliver shot back, "Yeah, my grandpa's the dean, but your Mitchell Family runs the board!"
He said with youthful fire, "Our Taylor Family would never pull such nasty stuff, and we sure wouldn't cover it up! We can handle any investigation, can your Mitchell Family?"
"Alright, alright," Elijah tried to calm things down. "The Cooper family messed up. The authorities will dig into it; let's all chill."
With all this drama, the medical consultation was a bust.

Standing in the light and shadow, Adeline stepped out, standing tall next to Oliver.
