Chapter 23 Healing the Patient
Sara's face twisted with jealousy, scaring the nurse beside her into silence. She was afraid that saying the wrong thing might anger Sara and cost her the job.
"What's the big deal? She's a country girl, getting bitten by bugs every day. Shouldn't she know the symptoms of insect bites? This little trick might only fool you idiots. I wonder if she can handle a scalpel!" Sara's sarcasm pierced the ears of every medical staff member.
But everyone instinctively didn't want to believe Sara's words; they trusted their own judgment more, each one staring intently at Adeline's actions.
Adeline didn't use a scalpel but took out a needle from the medical kit.
Those who had high expectations for Adeline's medical skills were visibly disappointed upon seeing this.
"Acupuncture? For such a serious condition, she's using acupuncture?"
"She's being too reckless!"
"Maybe she doesn't know how to perform surgery at all. How could Xavier trust a young girl? This is trouble."
Sara gloated, "I told you, she's a fraud. She doesn't have any real skills. Maybe her license is even fake."
"Ms. Cooper is right. How could someone so young be an attending physician?"
"Could she really be a con artist?"
"Don't jump to conclusions; keep watching!"
As people were discussing, Adeline raised her hand, ready to insert the first needle!
The people in the observation room could hardly believe what they were seeing.
In a place like Eldoria, where the level of education was relatively low, it was rare to find a physician skilled in acupuncture. At this moment, everyone saw Adeline's exquisite technique and perfect rhythm, not knowing how to react.
It was practically a textbook-level acupuncture performance!
Even Sara's expression changed, muttering, "She actually knows acupuncture? How is this possible?" And she had never seen such a technique before?
Adeline's gaze was calm, as if this was routine for her.
The doctors, in their astonishment, couldn't help but want to record her technique!
Even Sara, as an expert, might not be able to master acupuncture!
Seeing the looks from those around her, Sara forced herself to say, "It looks casual, but what effect does it have?"
Just as she finished speaking, from the emergency room, a nurse's excited voice came through. "The fever's gone! The patient's fever is gone! His body temperature is normal!"
"His pupils are normal and his consciousness is improving."
"What about the heart rate?"
"Normal!" The observation room erupted in cheers!
Nathan cheered, "I knew she was amazing!"
He glanced at Sara. "A hundred times better than you!" Sara's face burned as if she had been slapped.
Adeline, who had created a miracle, remained calm. She didn't stop but deftly pricked the tick bite wound, carefully squeezing out the toxin.
Alexander's murmuring voice came to her ears. "Savannah... is it Savannah? Savannah... I finally found you. Come home with me, your brothers are waiting for you too."
Alexander tightly grasped Adeline's wrist!
Alexander's obsession with finding his long-lost Savannah was so deep that even in a coma, his subconscious was still fixated on it.
