For Adeline, Terry had no secrets.
He clearly explained when each person came in and what they were holding.
"Yesterday, the Vanderbilt Family's sponsored student, Ms. Holly Vanderbilt, wanted to bring soup to Mr. Vanderbilt."
Adeline raised an eyebrow. "Soup?"
"Yes, she's been bringing it recently."
Adeline's voice was calm. "It's not about the soup. Grandpa probably didn't drink it."
"Mr. Alexander Vanderbilt indeed didn't drink it," Terry continued. "I didn't let her in. After that, only the chef and Mr. Kai Vanderbilt came by."
Adeline's eyes deepened. "Mr. Kai Vanderbilt?"
"He's your father." Terry seemed reluctant to mention it. "Mr. Alexander Vanderbilt and Mr. Kai Vanderbilt had an argument."
Adeline seemed to be thinking. After a while, she said, "Terry, please prepare some medicine for me. Stay with Grandpa, and before I arrive, don't let him see anyone, including Mr. Kai Vanderbilt."
Based on how she addresses Kai, Terry instantly understood Adeline's meaning.
She had no intention of acknowledging Kai.
Terry immediately assured her, "Ms. Vanderbilt, don't worry. I will take good care of Mr. Alexander Vanderbilt."
"Thank you. No matter who causes trouble, wait for me." Adeline's last words were serious.
The events in the dream always felt off to Adeline.
Given Alexander's health condition, he shouldn't have lived just a little over a year.
But what if someone was deliberately poisoning him?
The closest people were the hardest to guard against.
Adeline tapped her phone with her fingertips. Poison could be chronic or acute.
But it was such a sudden incident—was it calculated that Alexander would get angry today?

The Livingston family driver dared not show any negligence.
The car sped up, and the convoy followed.
At the Vanderbilt villa, Kai was still standing at the door, wanting to enter the study.
Terry, though polite, refused to let him in.
Kai took a deep breath. "Fine, I won't go in. But ask Mr. Alexander Vanderbilt if he really wants to kick Holly out."
Terry adjusted his glasses. "Sorry, Mr. Kai Vanderbilt, Mr. Alexander Vanderbilt needs to rest."
Kai hadn't completely lost his conscience. "I also brought a doctor. Let the doctor go in and check on him."
