Chapter 293 Adeline's Family Is So Wealthy
At Chrysanthemum Alley, Summer had been waiting since she received Adeline's call.
She and Vanessa were worried while watching the live broadcast, but fortunately, Jesse was there to inform her about the capture plan.
Otherwise, she would have bought a ticket to Eastgate Towns.
"Summer, is that your Adeline? That car is so impressive!"
Summer looked up and saw a row of five or six luxury cars parked there.
Adeline got out of the leading car, supporting an elderly man in a suit with white hair.
"Where did Adeline meet this person? He looks wealthy!"
The neighbors in the alley gathered around.
Summer smiled. "That's her real family."
Adeline had told her everything over the phone yesterday.
Adeline was thoughtful, afraid she might overthink.
At the end of the call, she even mentioned, "Grandma, I looked at a house in Zelphoria. When the time comes, you, Robert, and I will live there."
The meaning was clear. Although her family was in Zelphoria, she wouldn't leave Summer behind; the three of them would go.
Summer looked up with a smile, feeling warm inside.
The people in the alley, however, were all wide-eyed after hearing this. "Real family? Adeline's family is from Zelphoria?"
"Didn't they say they were from the mountains before?"
This reversal was too much!
If Henry knew Adeline's family was so wealthy, he would regret it!
Back then, the Martinez family not only kicked Adeline out but also wanted to eliminate her completely, just because they despised her biological parents for being from the countryside.
Now it seemed they were truly blind.
Adeline noticed the commotion and walked over to Summer, bending down to give her a hug. "Grandma, I'm back. Running around outside is so tiring. I need to eat your ribs to replenish."
"You're just good at acting cute. I'll scold you later," Summer said, patting Adeline.
Alexander also walked over with a cane, followed by several bodyguards in black.
Adeline introduced gracefully, "Grandma, this is my grandfather from the Vanderbilt family."
"Hello, I'm finally meeting you," Alexander said, humbled himself. "Adeline having a senior like you is her blessing. Our whole Vanderbilt family owes you thanks."
Summer was momentarily stunned when she saw his face. "Mr. Vanderbilt?"
"Grandma, you know him?" Adeline raised an eyebrow.
Alexander looked a bit puzzled.
Summer smiled and said, "It's normal for you not to remember me. Everyone in our batch who studied medicine knows you. You invested in us back then, preventing Aurelia from acquiring the medicinal fields."
When Summer mentioned it, Alexander remembered.
"I just remembered. You don't need to thank me." Alexander laughed. "I just wanted to do something satisfying. Our country's medicinal fields hold so many witch doctor legacies. They wanted to buy them out for life? Impossible!"
Summer admired Alexander's character but never expected Adeline's family to be so influential.
She initially thought they were just wealthy.
Now, Summer's gaze fell on Adeline's face, feeling both happy and a bit worried.
In Zelphoria, the social circles would indeed be different.
One would have to be careful with words and actions.
Could Adeline adapt?
