Chapter 287 The Brothers Make Their Entrance

In the hospital's intensive care unit, Lorenzo took a deep breath.

The whole world had seen Savannah.

Yet he, up until now, hadn't seen Savannah even once!

He looked at Nathan again. "Nathan, doesn't Grandpa know to bring Savannah to see me?"

"Mr. Alexander Vanderbilt came by, but you were asleep." Nathan handed him a peeled apple. "Terry said Mr. Alexander Vanderbilt had an old ailment flare up, and Ms. Vanderbilt is taking care of him."

Lorenzo's shoulder was still wrapped in bandages. "I need some care too."

"Mr. Lorenzo Vanderbilt," Nathan said with a smile, lowering his voice. "Mr. Alexander Vanderbilt has been eagerly waiting for Ms. Vanderbilt to come back. Just wait a few more days, and Mr. Alexander Vanderbilt will remember you."

Lorenzo chuckled. "Grandpa is still the same."

Nathan smiled without saying a word.

Lorenzo hinted. "But this is good. It will let some people know who the real Vanderbilt Family heiress is."

Nathan caught his meaning and handed over the peeled apple. "This morning, Mr. Kai Vanderbilt called Mr. Alexander Vanderbilt, saying he wanted to hold a family meeting to formally adopt Holly. It made Mr. Alexander Vanderbilt quite upset."

Hearing this, Lorenzo frowned, his eyes filled with suppressed emotions. "He's still thinking about adopting someone else? Doesn't he know that Savannah is already..."

Nathan made a shushing gesture. "Mr. Alexander Vanderbilt hasn't told Mr. Kai Vanderbilt about finding Ms. Vanderbilt."

People from the Vanderbilt Family were not simple.

Lorenzo immediately understood what this implied. "Has Grandpa encountered some trouble recently?"

Nathan, for once, wasn't being shrewd. "Finding Ms. Vanderbilt was supposed to be smooth, but halfway through, for some reason, it seemed like someone always got the news first and cut us off."

"Sulfur Mountain Village is indeed dangerous, and the unique environment of Ravenwood County made it difficult for us to find her. But both Mr. Alexander Vanderbilt and I believe that besides these factors, there's another reason: someone doesn't want Ms. Vanderbilt to return to the Vanderbilt Family!"

Upon hearing this, Lorenzo instantly clenched his right hand, a dangerous glint in his eyes. "Who?"

"We couldn't find any concrete evidence; it's just a hunch." Nathan looked at Lorenzo. "Zelphoria has been very unstable lately. If possible, Mr. Lorenzo Vanderbilt, could you return to the Vanderbilt Family?"

"I can." Lorenzo's eyes were deep. "How dare they bully Grandpa?"

Nathan laughed. "Mr. Alexander Vanderbilt is not that easy to bully. He is worried that if Ms. Vanderbilt is brought back, there will be no one to support her."

Lorenzo, being smart, focused his gaze on Nathan. "Nathan, you have indeed been devoted to Savannah."

Nathan was taken aback. "Well, I..."

"Thank you, Nathan." Lorenzo suddenly smiled.

If possible, he hoped that Savannah would only encounter people like Nathan along the way.

But he knew very well what Savannah had gone through.

This time, with Savannah back home, if they couldn't ensure she lived a carefree life, they would be unworthy.

Lorenzo thought for a moment, then opened a group chat.

Inside, the conversation was lively, and the most active participant was none other than Pentti.

Pentti said: [Don't play dead, guys. Look at how the other side is smearing me. Can you stand it?]
