"Got it." Adeline smiled. "Nathan, do you want to join us for a bite? You can't skip meals with your health."

"Alright, I'll pack some pasta for you," Adeline said, then added. "The one who had surgery has strong drug resistance. He'll probably wake up soon. Give him some soup, but nothing else. He hasn't eaten for a long time and won't be able to adapt immediately."
Nathan nodded and took note of everything.
Adeline was smart. She knew what he wanted to say and what was troubling him.
She just didn't want to make things difficult for him.
Nathan was holding back his frustration.

He knew she was hungry.

Charles looked at her face and couldn't help but smile. He then took two hair ties from the bodyguard and naturally gathered her long hair, tying it up and placing it behind her.
Adeline, busy eating, mumbled, "Thanks."
The remaining black hair tie was casually worn on Charles's wrist, intertwined with his red bracelet.
