Chapter 323 The Mastermind Revealed
Although Terry was not yet forty, he had been with the Vanderbilt Family for a long time.
His father used to be Alexander's secretary.
Now he also worked for the Vanderbilt Family, but besides Alexander, there was no one else he would willingly work for.
He could easily leave the Vanderbilt Group if he wanted to.
Headhunters had approached him many times, but he always thought he would wait until Alexander let him go.
Now that Adeline was back, he had made his decision.
"Ms. Vanderbilt looks like you, and also like Mrs. Vanderbilt," Terry rarely spoke the truth, "She is also polite to us employees."
Hearing this, Alexander sighed deeply, "My health is failing, and it has caused you all to suffer."
"It's not your fault!" Terry quickly said, "With Ms. Vanderbilt here, we will always be treated well."
Adeline didn't quite understand why the conversation had shifted to her.
But Alexander was very proud, "Savannah is kind and righteous. Do you think she has my demeanor from back in the day?"
"In every way!" Terry knew how to talk, "When Ms. Vanderbilt moves in, the house will be even more lively."
Alexander was overjoyed, "Yes, Savannah, when are you and your grandmother moving in? I've prepared your room very well."
Adeline didn't want to disappoint Alexander, so she decided to be honest.
"Grandpa, the Lumina Vitae Foundation is opening a branch, and it's not suitable to do it here. I found a courtyard-style house."
Hearing this, Alexander was visibly disappointed but didn't make things difficult for Adeline, "I really forgot. The Lumina Vitae Foundation branch needs to open, and you have to do live broadcasts. Your grandma probably wouldn't be used to live here either."
"Living in a courtyard-style house is good; it's big, and there will be a lot of people coming and going." Although Alexander said this, it was clear that he wasn't in a good mood.
Adeline had anticipated this situation when she came.
She didn't want to return to the Vanderbilt Family because it was complicated internally.
Especially after she saw the information Robert had found, she had a general impression of her "biological father."
But Adeline didn't want to hurt Alexander's feelings.
"Grandpa," Adeline looked up, her expression serious, "The courtyard-style house I found is big, and one of the rooms is reserved for you. If you don't mind, you can move in with us."
Alexander, who was feeling down, was suddenly taken aback by this and reacted slowly, "There's a room reserved for me?"
Adeline nodded, as if it were obvious, "I make money, of course, I have to be grateful to you and grandma. The room on the east side is reserved for you. You love drinking tea and need to work, so I bought a wooden table, though it's not as big as yours."
"I like smaller ones!" Alexander, as if afraid she would change her mind, said, "I'll move in with you! Terry can pick me up when I need to go to work!"
Adeline also smiled, "Then it's settled. Once I have everything set up, you can move in. But the food will be homemade; will you be okay with that?"
"Of course! What do you take me for?" Alexander held her hand, "When I was young and on business trips, I loved going to different houses to eat!"
The two of them chatted warmly and intimately.
Everyone in the house knew that Alexander was happy today.
He even ate a lot of dishes he usually wouldn't touch because Adeline was there.
When Kai used to come, it was nothing but arguments.
And that sponsored girl, Holly, always made them bring soup.
She always paid them, but delivering the soup was a hassle.
Alexander hadn't laughed so genuinely in a long time.
Terry was even happier to see this.
With Adeline back, even the lights in the hall seemed brighter.
At this moment, in another mansion in Zelphoria, a person holding a string of beads looked up into the darkness, "Is everything with the Vanderbilt Family taken care of?"
